Closely following businesses, Ninh Binh develops 16 new grassroots trade unions
Closely following the area, businesses and the needs of workers, the Trade Union Committee of Ninh Binh Industrial Park has just established 16 new grassroots trade unions in 5 industrial parks in Nam Dinh area.
Information from the Trade Union of Industrial Parks (IPs) of Ninh Binh province, the Trade Union of IPs in Nam Dinh area is in charge of 84 grassroots trade unions (GS) with a total of 49,795 trade union members in 5 IPs Hoa Xa, Bao Minh, My Trung, My Thuan and Rang Dong.
On October 9th, the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation organized the announcement of the decision to establish 16 grassroots trade unions in industrial parks in Nam Dinh area.
Ms. Dao Xuan Thanh Huyen - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee of Ninh Binh Industrial Park - said that on this occasion, in 5 industrial parks in Nam Dinh area, 16 new grassroots trade unions were established, admitting 1,081 union members, and mechanically developing 5,620 union members. In addition, 20 numbered Trade Union groups were actively established at 20 grassroots trade unions.
After the grassroots trade unions were established, the Trade Union Committee of Nam Dinh IP area guided the mobilization committee and the collective of workers to organize the Congress; consolidate the executive committee, inspection committee and positions.
At Nhôm Mal Việt Nam Co., Ltd. (in Hoa Xa Industrial Park, Thanh Nam ward, Ninh Binh province), the company's grassroots trade union immediately after establishment organized many sports, cultural, and artistic activities to connect union members and workers.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huynh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Aluminum Mal Co., Ltd. - said that after its establishment, the grassroots trade union identified the key task as continuing to develop union members, building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization; and at the same time doing a good job of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers. In the coming time, the Trade Union will continue to promote cultural, artistic, and sports activities, organize visits and encourage union members in difficult circumstances, and create a cohesive environment between workers and businesses.
The company's grassroots trade union was established in July 2026. To create an atmosphere of emulation and strengthen the cohesion between union members and employees, we organized a friendly football tournament. In addition, in August, the Trade Union started organizing birthdays for union members and employees; in September, organizing gifts on the occasion of Independence Day for all employees" - Mr. Huynh shared.
With the Industrial Park Trade Union Board, in the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions, one of the basic requirements is to firmly grasp the area, stick to businesses and the situation of workers.
Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee of Ninh Binh Industrial Park Dao Xuan Thanh Huyen added that the Trade Union Committee of the Industrial Park has coordinated with the Management Board of the Economic Zone and Industrial Parks to have a list of enterprises operating in the Industrial Park. After that, classify the list of enterprises that have not yet established Trade Unions. The Trade Union Committee of the Industrial Park also proactively contacts enterprises, distributes survey forms to business owners and employees about the need to establish grassroots trade unions. In addition, it is implementing propaganda about the Trade Union Law, the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and the role of trade unions in labor relations.
Regarding the procedures for establishing grassroots trade unions, we have modeled the procedures and proactively guided employees to establish advocacy committees to establish the company's grassroots trade union. Throughout that process, we are the ones who directly go down to the company, exchange specifics and directly approach employees" - Ms. Huyen said.
In the coming time, the Trade Union Committee of Nam Dinh IP area will continue to closely follow businesses, develop union members, improve the effectiveness of Trade Union activities and better care for the lives of workers.
