Ninh Binh deploys "Digital Trade Union Group" at the grassroots level
Ninh Binh - The "Digital Trade Union Group" model is being implemented at grassroots trade unions, aiming to directly support union members and workers to improve digital skills.
In the context of digital transformation increasingly closely linked to life and work, the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) is implementing the "Digital Trade Union Group" model at grassroots Trade Unions (CĐCS), considering this as a force directly supporting union members and workers (NLĐ) to access and use essential digital platforms and services.
Mr. Le Phuong Trieu - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Cuc Phuong National Park (one of the first units in Ninh Binh to establish the "Digital Trade Union Group") - said that the establishment of the "Digital Trade Union Group" aims to concretize the movement "Digital Education for All", contributing to raising awareness and skills in applying digital technology for union members and workers.
The team is tasked with guiding the use of digital platforms, online public services, VNeID electronic identification accounts; supporting union members to access digital utilities, improving identification capabilities, and preventing risks of unsafety in cyberspace.
Ms. Le Thi Hoa - Vice President of Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation - said that as of September 30, 2026, Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation is directly managing 1,770 grassroots trade unions with 405,204 union members. The business sector alone has 1,622 grassroots trade unions with 391,889 union members.
According to Ms. Hoa, the large number of union members and workers raises the requirement to innovate methods of propaganda, gathering and supporting workers, especially in the context of more and more procedures, services and activities being implemented in the digital environment.
To promote digital transformation from the grassroots level, the Provincial Labor Federation has implemented the "Digital Education for All" movement, aiming to improve the ability to use essential digital services and platforms for union members and workers; and at the same time innovate trade union operating methods in the digital environment.
Core members of the "Digital Trade Union Group" include chairmen, vice chairmen, members of the grassroots trade union executive committee, and trade union officials in groups and departments. Grassroots trade unions can also select young, enthusiastic, and digitally skilled union members to participate in support.
The "Digital Trade Union Group" has the task of guiding union members to use essential digital services and platforms; identifying and preventing online fraud; popularizing basic digital skills.
Support results are recorded by a list of guided people, activity logs or data on digital platforms. This is the basis for evaluating the operational efficiency of each group as well as the results of implementing the "Digital Education for All" movement at the grassroots trade union. "Digital Trade Union Groups" must maintain activities at least once a month, and at the same time have an exchange group on the digital platform to receive and guide union members regularly" - Ms. Hoa shared.
Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation sets a target that by 2027, 100% of grassroots trade unions with 100 or more union members in industrial parks will establish "Digital Trade Union Groups".
The implementation of the "Digital Trade Union Group" model not only helps workers improve their skills in using technology, but also opens up more channels for trade union organizations to interact, support and serve union members faster and closer right from the grassroots level.
