Enhancing the spirit of solidarity and cultural life of workers

The Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Transport Hospital has just coordinated to organize the 2026 Transport Hospital Football Tournament, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the hospital's establishment (September 26, 1955 - September 26, 2026).

The tournament gathers teams representing professional blocks throughout the hospital. At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to FC Department Block; Second Prize belonged to FC Internal Block; Third Prize belonged to FC Near Clinical and the Style Prize was awarded to FC Foreign Block.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc The - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Transport Hospital, the tournament not only creates conditions for union members and workers to practice health but is also an opportunity for departments, rooms, and centers to exchange and strengthen solidarity. From the football field, team spirit, coordination and sharing are spreading into the working environment, contributing to building a united and dynamic collective.

If the football field creates cohesion with the spirit of competition, then the art stage brings a different way of connecting.

To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of Song Da Corporation (1961 - 2026), the Mass Arts Festival throughout the Corporation was organized with the participation of 13 art troupes from member units. Participating in the festival, Song Da 5 Joint Stock Company brought a special art program with the theme "Song Da writes history".

The program is staged in the form of a musical, recreating the journey of generations of Song Da workers - people who contributed to "crossing mountains, blocking rivers", bringing electricity to many regions of the Fatherland.

Mr. Le Thanh Son - Chairman of the Trade Union of Song Da 5 Joint Stock Company - said that to have the performance program, officials, union members, and employees spent time practicing and investing from content, music, costumes to stage staging. That preparation not only created an art performance but also a process for employees to work together, be creative together and aim for a common goal. At the end of the festival, Song Da 5 Joint Stock Company won the First Prize overall.

Closer approach to union members

According to Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, the specific nature of the Construction industry makes a part of workers often work at the construction site, far from home or in high-intensity working conditions. Therefore, caring for workers does not only stop at wages, benefits, working conditions but also includes creating spaces for them to rest, socialize and regenerate labor...

Therefore, in recent years, the cultural and sports movement among union members and workers has always been concerned and developed widely by trade union levels in the industry. Notably, the rate of union members participating in cultural, sports, sightseeing, and vacation activities increased from 37% in 2021 to 75% in 2025.

Cultural, artistic and sports activities also create a relatively special connection channel. There, workers are not only beneficiaries but directly become the subjects of activities: They compete, perform, organize, cheer and jointly build a collective atmosphere. For the Trade Union, this is also a closer approach to union members. Common playgrounds create conditions for trade union officials to better understand the thoughts, interests and needs of workers, thereby expanding care content in a more practical direction.

When a football tournament closes or the stage lights go out, what remains is not just cups, medals or awards. More importantly, it is the connection of colleagues, the strengthening of the collective spirit and a cultural space formed right in the working environment. That is also the foundation for Trade Union activities to continue to accompany agencies, units, and businesses in building a positive working environment, taking better care of material and spiritual life, thereby contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization" - Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong assessed.
