Gratitude to heroic martyrs at Truong Bon red address
Nghe An - To celebrate the 58th anniversary of the Truong Bon Victory, the delegation of Nghe An province organized incense and flower offerings to commemorate heroic martyrs.
On October 31, on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the Truong Bon Victory (October 31, 1968 - October 31, 2026), a delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Nghe An province came to the Truong Bon Historical Relic Site to offer incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs.
The delegation was led by Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, along with the participation of comrades in the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and delegates.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation offered flowers, incense and observed a minute of silence, remembering the great contributions of heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed themselves for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
In particular, the delegation expressed deep gratitude to 13 youth volunteer soldiers of Company 317 who bravely sacrificed at Truong Bon on October 31, 1968, leaving an immortal mark in the history of the nation's revolutionary struggle.
Over 58 years, Truong Bon has become a red address for educating revolutionary traditions, patriotism and dedication to today's and future generations.
Incense offering and commemoration activities are an occasion to express gratitude for the noble sacrifices of previous generations, and at the same time contribute to arousing national pride and a sense of responsibility in the cause of building and developing the homeland and country.
Truong Bon is located on Highway 15A, in Nghe An province, a historical site associated with the nation's resistance war against the US for national salvation. During the war years, this place was a key point for fierce attacks by the US Air Force, and also a vital traffic route to support the Southern battlefield. On October 31, 1968, 13 youth volunteer soldiers of Company 317 bravely sacrificed while on duty to ensure traffic in Truong Bon. Today, the Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site has become a sacred red address, a symbol of patriotism, indomitable spirit and noble sacrifice of the previous generation.
