Gia Lai: Identifying problems and shortcomings in resolving voters' petitions

THANH TUẤN (báo lao động) 30/10/2026 16:33 (GMT+7)

Gia Lai - Some voters' recommendations related to many levels and sectors, while there are no specific instructions to handle them thoroughly.

Complex content, no clear guidance

Over the past time, the People's Council (HĐND) of Gia Lai province has organized many activities to meet voters to grasp the situation, listen to recommendations, share and dialogue with people in the area.

Voters in localities have proposed and reflected many hot and urgent issues to the Provincial People's Council.

Some recommendations have complex contents, related to many sectors and levels. Meanwhile, current legal regulations (such as land, payroll management, policies to support agricultural production damage in cases not caused by natural disasters or pests...) do not have specific guiding documents from central agencies.

This makes the specialized agency of the Provincial People's Committee confused in advising and proposing solutions to voters' petitions.

Many recommendations focus on the field of investment, upgrading, and repairing essential infrastructure (transportation, irrigation, works serving production and people's livelihoods...), requiring very large investment capital.

The budget of the province and localities is still difficult, unable to balance and allocate funds to implement programs and projects according to the wishes of voters.

In Resolution No. 355/NQ-HDND approved by Gia Lai Provincial People's Council on July 16, 2026, the province determined that after receiving opinions and recommendations from voters, agencies and units promptly advised and proposed appropriate handling plans.

Most of the voters' petitions were received and resolved in accordance with regulations by the Provincial People's Committee and competent agencies. Many urgent issues have been resolved satisfactorily, ensuring the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people.

This result creates high consensus, contributing to consolidating and enhancing people's trust in the Party's leadership and the local government's management work," said Mr. Rah Lan Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council.

Recommendations need to be resolved thoroughly, without general answers

However, through assessments, the resolution of voters' petitions still has some limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome. Some contents have not been resolved thoroughly, the implementation time is prolonged, and has not met the wishes of voters.

Some written responses from specialized agencies are still general, have not provided specific solutions or have not clearly defined completion deadlines for provincial People's Council delegates to supervise.

Therefore, in the coming time, the Provincial People's Council requests the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee to focus on urging departments, agencies, and sectors to urgently and thoroughly handle outstanding petitions, not to prolong them, causing public outrage; especially focusing on public investment, compensation, site clearance...
