Lam Dong Fund for the Poor receives an additional 500 million VND
Lam Dong - Vietnam Bank for Social Policies supports 500 million VND into the "For the Poor" Fund of the province, contributing more resources to care for households in difficult circumstances.
On the morning of October 29, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province received 500 million VND to support the "For the Poor" Fund from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, in response to the "For the Poor" Peak Month 2026.
At the program, Mr. Huynh Van Thuan, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, said that besides professional tasks, the unit always pays attention to social security activities, promoting the spirit of mutual affection and responsibility to the community.
In recent years, the bank has contributed 3.5 billion VND in Lam Dong to support the removal of temporary houses, helping households affected by storm No. 13, organizing the "Tet reunion" program and giving Tet gifts to poor households.
This donation is the joint effort of leaders, officials, union members and workers throughout the system, contributing to helping people stabilize their lives and gradually rise up.
Thanking the concern and support of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Mr. Pham Trieu, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, Head of the Provincial "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Board, said that resources from agencies, organizations, businesses and philanthropists are of practical significance for poverty reduction, especially when the province is large and development conditions between regions are still uneven.
From 2025 to now, the "For the Poor" Fund of the province has mobilized more than 75 billion VND to care for the poor and those in difficult circumstances.
The province has allocated 124 billion VND to support the construction of 1,627 new houses and repair 917 houses for households in difficult circumstances.
In the first months of 2026, the province also supported 100 households in 10 communes to implement a livelihood model, with a total budget of 2 billion VND.
The "For the Poor" peak month of 2026 is implemented by Lam Dong from October 17 to November 18. At the launching ceremony on October 15, agencies, organizations, units, corporations and businesses registered to support the "For the Poor" Fund of the province with more than 15 billion VND.
Mr. Pham Trieu hopes to continue to receive the joint efforts of agencies, units, businesses and people to supplement resources to support households still facing difficulties in housing, livelihoods and production conditions.
Support will be linked to the actual needs of each locality and each family, towards the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security.
