Account suddenly receives 1 billion VND, man in Nghe An asks police to return it
Nghe An - Suddenly receiving 1 billion VND in his account, a man reported to the police to find the account holder and return the money.
On October 30, according to information from Nghe An Provincial Police, Giai Lac Commune Police just supported a resident to return 1 billion VND due to another person mistakenly transferring money to a bank account.
Previously, on October 23, Mr. Nguyen Duy Thanh (born 1969, residing in Giai Lac commune, Nghe An province) suddenly received 1 billion VND transferred to his BIDV bank account.
Because he did not know the money transferor and was concerned that the money could be related to illegal acts, on October 26, Mr. Thanh proactively went to Giai Lac Commune Police to report and request support for verification to return it to the owner.
Immediately after receiving the information, Giai Lac Commune Police proceeded to verify and determined that the person who mistakenly transferred the above amount was Mr. Y Nguyen Nie (born in 1999, residing in Ea Sup commune, Dak Lak province).
The police agency then contacted, guided and supported the two sides to carry out the necessary procedures to return the mistakenly transferred money.
On October 29th, under the witness of Giai Lac Commune Police, Mr. Nguyen Duy Thanh fully returned 1 billion VND to Mr. Y Nguyen Nie.
Receiving the large amount of money back, Mr. Y Nguyen Nie expressed his joy and emotion and wrote a letter of thanks to Giai Lac Commune Police and Mr. Nguyen Duy Thanh for supporting the search for property.
