Journey to connect love with children with Thalassemia through MC skills classes

THÁI TRANG (báo lao động) 30/10/2026 16:32 (GMT+7)

Hanoi - From the MC skills class, Ms. Trinh Thuc Anh and her colleagues raised scholarship funds to support children with Thalassemia who are in difficult circumstances.

From the Blood Festival stage to community classes

As a program host at the activities of the Vietnam Youth Association for Blood Donation, Ms. Trinh Thuc Anh has the opportunity to meet children with thalassemia - special audiences below the stage. Those meetings have motivated her to find ways to apply her hosting experience to support them.

In 2023, when she was a member of the MC & Event Management Club of the Vietnam Blood Association, Ms. Anh and Mr. Tran Van Nam (former Head of the Club) and colleagues co-founded the project "MC Skills Class - Project for the Thalassemia young community".

Sharing about the project's goals, Ms. Anh said: "The class creates opportunities for young people who love hosting programs or want to be more confident in front of crowds to practice skills. At the same time, part of the tuition fee is used to raise scholarship funds to support children with difficult circumstances being treated at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion".

With experience in hosting programs and training at the Blood Festival, Ms. Anh directly holds classes, guiding students on skills in using voice, body language and hosting events. The project also invites experienced MCs and editors to participate in teaching, helping students access knowledge and practical experience from professionals.

Each course has a fee of less than 500,000 VND. At the end of the course, the organizing committee and students directly award scholarships, encouraging young children with Thalassemia and their families," Ms. Anh said.

Persistently continuing and spreading the value of giving

Accompanying the project from the early days, Ms. Trinh Thuc Anh continued to maintain operations after taking on the role of Head of MC & Event Management Club of the Vietnam Blood Association.

To date, the project has organized 7 courses, attracting more than 1,000 students to participate. However, maintaining low tuition fees while still ensuring teaching quality poses many challenges for the organizers.

In addition to ensuring teaching quality, the organizing committee also needs to maintain resources for courses to be organized regularly. We are fortunate to receive the companionship of people who are full of love, willing to contribute and give human values," Ms. Anh shared.

Currently, the project continues to be maintained by volunteers of the MC & Event Management Club of the Vietnam Blood Association. Ms. Anh hopes that this activity will continue to be extended, attracting more young people to participate.

For me, time and effort are precious assets of youth. Everyone should promote their strengths to both learn, develop and create meaningful values for the community. Because life is a journey of giving and spreading good things," Ms. Anh expressed.
