Granting scholarships to more than 1,900 children of workers in difficult circumstances

On October 31, at An Phuoc Industrial Park, Dong Nai City, Olam Vietnam Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as ofi Vietnam) and representatives of Dong Nai City Labor Federation, Management Board of Industrial Parks, Economic Zone of Dong Nai City - awarded 510 scholarships to students who are children of company workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of more than 1.8 billion VND.

Each scholarship is worth from 3 - 10 million VND/scholarship.

This scholarship program has been implemented by ofi Vietnam for the past 6 years, the amount of money for scholarships next year is always higher than before; to date, more than 1,900 students have received scholarships with an amount of more than 6.5 billion VND. Among them, many disadvantaged children have received scholarships continuously over the years, contributing to helping them cover expenses and not being interrupted in the learning process.

According to the leaders of ofi Vietnam, for children of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances, receiving scholarships is just the beginning. After that, they must try to train and study to acquire knowledge, master the future, and contribute a lot to their families and society.

In the past 6 years, Olam Vietnam Co., Ltd. has awarded scholarships to 1,934 students with a total amount of more than 6.5 billion VND.

According to the plan, in the coming years, ofi Vietnam will continue to implement many community programs, maintaining the awarding of scholarships to students.

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc An - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Nai City acknowledged and praised the company's social activities, especially the scholarship program maintained annually with the number of students receiving scholarships each year always higher than the previous year.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc An affirmed that the Management Board of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Nai City always accompanies and promptly removes obstacles and difficulties of businesses operating in the city. Thereby contributing to helping businesses produce and do business better, contributing more to sustainable development.
