Vietnam Fatherland Front proposes 3 directions for cooperation at AICESIS

From October 28 to 30, a high-level delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - visited and attended the General Assembly of the International Association of Socio-Economic Councils and Equivalence Institutions (AICESIS) and conducted effective bilateral foreign affairs activities in the Kingdom of Spain.

Affirming Vietnam's position and vision at the AICESIS General Assembly

Within the framework of the working trip, on October 29th, in Madrid, the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front attended the General Meeting of the International Association of Socio-Economic Councils and Equivalence Institutions (AICESIS).

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga informed international delegates about the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam - a milestone opening a new era of development for the country; affirming that Vietnam continues to firmly adhere to the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, and proactively integrate globally comprehensively and deeply.

Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga emphasized Vietnam's consistent viewpoint: Economic development must be linked to progress, social justice and environmental protection; absolutely do not trade the environment and social security for pure economic growth.

Over the past time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has promoted its role in gathering and ensuring that green transformation and digital transformation policies meet the legitimate interests of the people, towards the goal of leaving no one behind.

According to Vice President - Secretary-General Ha Thi Nga, as an associated member of AICESIS since 2009, Vietnam proposed three key contribution orientations, including: strengthening knowledge sharing, exchanging experiences in promoting social justice and perfecting multilateral consultation mechanisms; effectively connecting multilateral cooperation frameworks between AICESIS and the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC); and promoting exchanges, strengthening solidarity and trust between peoples of countries through people-to-people diplomacy channels.

Continuing activities in Madrid, the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held important bilateral talks with the Spanish Socio-Economic Council and the Secretary-General of AICESIS, aiming to promote cooperation, strengthen experience exchange and deepen relations between the parties.

At the exchange with Ms. Maria Soledad Serrano Ponz - Secretary General of the Spanish Economic and Social Council, the two sides agreed to promote the exchange of public policy consultation experiences (labor market, social security, green transformation, digital transformation, gender equality); and at the same time requested Spain to support building a bridge to expand the partnership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front with the Economic and Social Councils in Europe and Latin America, encouraging member organizations to strengthen investment, trade and cultural exchange connections.

Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga highly appreciated the coordinating role of the AICESIS Secretariat in promoting the Association's activities and strengthening connections between member organizations. Affirming that the Vietnam Fatherland Front always considers AICESIS an important multilateral foreign affairs channel; thereby wishing to continue to strengthen the participation of the Front in professional activities, promote exchange and practical experience sharing on social dialogue, supervision and social criticism, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's people-to-people diplomacy position in the international arena.

Strengthening coordination activities between the Embassy and the Vietnam Fatherland Front

Previously, on October 28, 2026, a delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Spain.

After listening to Ambassador Do Hoang Linh inform about the situation of Vietnam - Spain relations and community work in recent times, Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga informed about the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in supervising, social criticism and receiving people's opinions through practical models such as the "Month of Listening to the People" dialogue or the Front Portal No. 24/7, in order to promptly grasp the thoughts, aspirations and protect the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Vietnamese from an early age and from afar.

Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga proposed strengthening close coordination between the Embassy and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, member organizations and a team of experts and scientists through long-term and flexible cooperation programs in both direct and online forms. In particular, towards the milestone of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Spain, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed that it is always ready to coordinate with the Embassy to have practical activities contributing to the overall success of this important event.
