VNPT engineer turns idea into practical value

The initiative to build a system of image and travel information data centers for vehicles under Decree No. 10/2020/ND-CP helps the Road Administration and Departments of Construction to manage and monitor vehicle image data sent back and perform industry operations. The initiative provides an integrated system for units to transmit data through API easily; provides tools for the Department of Construction to look up violations, manage the installation status of cameras as a basis for issuing badges...
The initiative to build the VNPT OneX Platform enterprise application integration platform helps connect different systems in terms of processes and data, ensuring smooth operation and unified information. The platform helps VNPT reduce 30-40% of integration and application building time; and at the same time helps customers save 60-70% of manual processing effort on independent systems.
Ideas must create measurable results
Mr. Pham Dac Bao shared that the biggest motivation for him to have many initiatives in work comes from the reality of wanting to solve problems arising in work. "When I see something that is still manual, repetitive, time-consuming or ineffective, I often wonder if I can do it in a better way or not. I often proactively experiment and find ways to bring technology to solve practical problems" - Mr. Bao said.
Also according to Mr. Bao, the meaning of creativity is not only to have a good idea, but what is important is that the idea must create measurable results: Saving time, improving quality, reducing costs or creating new value, new products and services serving people, production, making everything better and easier.
Besides, he wants to build an R&D environment where the team is encouraged to actively research, experiment with new ideas and turn those ideas into practical results. It is seeing the specific impact from his ideas as well as the team's that is the motivation for Mr. Bao to continue to create and promote creative activities in the unit.
Mr. Bao added that in the process of R&D and implementing initiatives, what he felt most clearly was the concern, companionship and creation of conditions from the leaders of the Group, Company, Center and VNPT Trade Union (under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology).
On the professional leadership side, he is facilitated in terms of human resources, infrastructure, equipment, funding and time to research and test new technologies, especially AI and UAVs. More importantly, trust and encouragement from the team to boldly experiment, accept that R&D may have some unsuccessful times to find a suitable direction.
The Trade Union has practically accompanied both spiritually and materially, promptly encouraging, recognizing, and rewarding initiatives and research results. The trust of professional leaders and the companionship of the trade union are the motivation for me to continue to innovate and turn ideas into practical results" - Mr. Bao confided.
