Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue - street garbage sweeper at Hanoi Urban Environment One Member Limited Liability Company has 18 years of working experience, and that much time has been spent cleaning streets. Currently, she is the Production Team Leader, in charge of environmental sanitation work in Hoan Kiem ward with 27 members in the team.
The image of the Team Leader diligently sweeping and collecting street garbage at night has become familiar to many people who sleep late in the Old Quarter. In the process of working, Ms. Hue is always dedicated, responsible, and completes assigned tasks well, especially during holidays, Tet and important political and cultural events.
There is a special thing about Ms. Hue that both the people in the area and workers in the group remember. That is Ms. Hue's initiative "Plan to deploy waste sorting at source in Hoan Kiem district". Sharing about this initiative, Ms. Hue said that when there was an official dispatch from above on waste sorting at source, Ms. Hue texted restaurants and hotels to discuss waste sorting and asked them to give it to workers so that workers could come to collect it.
The same goes for households, neighborhood group leaders enthusiastically propagate to people to sort waste and then workers in Ms. Hue's group come to receive it. With this approach, waste is sorted at source according to the policy. In particular, workers in the group have an additional income of about 70,000 VND/person/day from collecting and selling recycled waste from restaurants, hotels, and households in collective housing areas......
The initiative has contributed to improving the efficiency of organizing waste collection and sorting at source in Hoan Kiem ward; raising the awareness of people and business households about environmental protection; limiting accumulated waste, reducing the effort of sorting again after collection, increasing the ability to recover valuable waste for reuse and recycling, and contributing to improving the quality of environmental sanitation and building a civilized urban lifestyle.
During her work, Ms. Hue has always proactively researched and proposed solutions to improve production organization, especially in shift division, line division, human resource arrangement and coordination between departments. At the same time, she actively guides and imparts experience to new workers, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of labor. As one of the 30 workers honored by the Hanoi Labor Federation as "Outstanding Capital Laborer in 2026", Ms. Hue does not hide her pride, but she also knows that along with honor, there will be a higher responsibility.
Ms. Hue works with the spirit of "first of all, I must be recognized by workers before being recognized by leaders". Therefore, in her team, some people are over 50 years old, some are just over 20 years old, but everyone loves and admires the team leader who is both professionally skilled and always cares for the members of the team. ...
Both Ms. Hue and her husband work night shifts. Every time they finish their shift and get home, it's 3-4 am, they take advantage of sleeping a little and then get up to cook and take care of their children going to school. Ms. Hue said she was lucky to have her paternal grandparents taking care of her, otherwise it would be difficult for her and her husband to manage. Ms. Hue's days are like that, taking care of housework; taking care of work in the team; and working with the workers in the team to ensure that the streets are always clean.
As women, everyone hopes to have time to wear beautiful clothes to take photos. But for Ms. Hue as well as her colleagues in the group, they can only take a little time to take photos by Hoan Kiem Lake in protective clothing to post on Facebook, Zalo and then diligently sweep and collect garbage on the road.
Ms. Hue recounted that her work was so busy that when cleaning up after the fireworks display at Hoan Kiem Lake on the Capital Liberation Day this year, she did not even have time to step onto the newly built bridge, but also did the "task" of pointing out the bridge location for visitors......
The woman has productivity maintained from 105% - 115% of the norm
Also one of the 30 new workers honored by the Hanoi Labor Federation, Ms. Tong Thi Viet, a garment worker at Star Fashion Co., Ltd., left many impressions. At the company, Ms. Viet is a skilled person, skillful in operation, stable productivity, and regularly achieves from
105% - 115% production quota, at times reaching over 115% of the plan. During the year, Ms. Viet always maintains high productivity, contributing to ensuring the overall progress of the line, especially in peak order periods, requiring urgent progress.
Regarding product quality, Ms. Viet always strictly complies with the technical requirements and quality standards of each product code, focusing on quality control right in the process of performing the stage. The rate of products meeting requirements right from the first time is maintained at a high level, the rate of faulty goods/repaired goods is low, below 1.5%, limiting the occurrence of errors due to personal manipulation.
Ms. Viet always has the awareness of self-checking products before switching stages, thereby contributing to reducing repaired goods, reducing error handling time and improving the production efficiency of the line. In Ms. Viet, not only is she a good worker with high productivity, but she always has the spirit of preserving machinery, equipment, raw materials and implementing thrift in production - true to the qualities of a new era worker.
With the achieved results, especially productivity maintained from 105% - 115% of the norm, stable product quality, low defect/repair ratio, good discipline, high sense of responsibility and active support for colleagues, Ms. Tong Thi Viet is assessed as one of the workers with outstanding achievements in production, making practical contributions to the completion of the unit's plan and is proposed to be considered for awarding the title "Excellent Garment Worker"...
It can be seen that the common point of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue and Tong Thi Viet is their love for the profession as well as responsibility to the profession, spirit of solidarity, harmony, support for colleagues, contributing to building a positive working environment.
