Dong Thap maintains 91 self-managed worker dormitories
Dong Thap - The whole province is maintaining 91 self-managed worker dormitories with more than 8,200 workers, contributing to building a safe living environment for workers.
On October 6th, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that as of the third quarter of 2026, the whole province maintains the operation of 91 self-managed worker dormitories, attracting 8,272 workers to participate. Along with that, trade union levels consolidate and maintain 63 mediation groups with 365 members, in order to promptly grasp and handle issues arising in the lives of union members, workers, and laborers in residential areas and dormitories.
At self-managed boarding houses, the Trade Union coordinates with functional forces to regularly propagate laws on labor, Trade Union, social insurance, and traffic safety; and at the same time warn about the methods and tricks of crimes, social evils and "black credit" activities.

Notably, information identifying fraudulent tricks in cyberspace is quickly transferred through Zalo boarding house groups, Trade Union bulletin boards and "Corporate Trade Union Officials" clubs. Currently, the whole province maintains 3 clubs with 113 members in industrial parks.
Mediation teams also promote their role as bridges, promptly resolving conflicts arising in daily life between workers and each other or between workers and landlords.

Through this, problems are grasped and resolved early, limiting the risk of hotspots for security and order arising.
According to the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation, self-managed boarding houses are gradually becoming a safe and healthy living space, contributing to strengthening the connection between workers far from home. In the coming time, the Provincial Trade Union will continue to coordinate with the local Police force to inspect, consolidate and replicate the model, contributing to building a safe and stable living and working environment in industrial parks and clusters in the area.
