An Giang Trade Union organizes "Coming to Workers' Boarding Houses

On the evening of September 28, An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, My Thoi Ward Trade Union coordinated with landlords to organize the program "Coming to Workers' Boarding Houses" in 2026 at boarding house area 99, My Thoi ward.

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Pham Van Dang expressed his joy when trade union officials met with workers and laborers (NLĐ) living at Boarding House 99 and Xuan Quang Boarding House.

The Provincial Trade Union is very interested in the accommodation of workers and the organization of the "To Workers' Boarding Houses" program is of practical significance.

The Trade Union not only comes to workers at work but also wants to get closer to the daily life of brothers and sisters, wants to listen to and share what brothers and sisters are interested in, difficulties and obstacles in work and life.

In today's program, besides exchange activities, propaganda, and dissemination of knowledge about the law, the establishment of Self-Management Groups for workers' boarding houses is also a very important content.

Mr. Dang said that this is not a large-scale model, but if maintained well, it will bring very practical values. Self-management groups will be a bridge for workers far from home to be closer to each other; so that when there are difficulties, everyone knows to come to each other to share; when problems arise, there are also people who promptly grasp, exchange, guide and coordinate to solve them. At the same time, this is also a bridge between workers and the Trade Union and local authorities.

Mr. Dang emphasized: "If your rights have problems, don't be silent and don't solve them yourself in ways that can make things more complicated. Go to the Trade Union. The Trade Union is not only a place to organize movement activities but also a place where workers can come to when they need advice, support and protect their legitimate rights.

At the program, union members, workers, and laborers living at Boarding House 99 and Xuan Quang Boarding House were informed about security and order, crime prevention, drug and fraud prevention in cyberspace. Participating in the game "Mysterious Number" to learn about the law and receive gifts. In addition, the program awarded 6 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) to union members in difficult circumstances and held a lucky draw for 6 workers.

In particular, the program also recorded opinions expressed and shared from union members and workers about issues in work and life, thereby helping the Trade Union understand more and have directions for handling and removing them.
