More than 111,000 workers are working in 6 industrial parks in Dong Thap province
Dong Thap - 6 industrial parks operating in the province are creating jobs for more than 111,000 workers, including over 1,500 foreign workers.
On September 29, the Management Board of Dong Thap Economic Zone said that by September 2026, 6 operating industrial parks (IPs) had attracted 185 investment projects, including 103 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects and 82 domestic investment (DDI) projects. Total registered investment capital includes 3,431.6 million USD of FDI capital and 13,581.04 billion VND of DDI capital. The area of industrial land leased reached 744.96ha, occupancy rate 93.14%. 6 industrial parks not only contribute to solving jobs and stabilizing income for over 111,000 workers and laborers, including 109,335 Trade Union members, but also provide human resources for the production and business activities of enterprises.

According to Decision No. 1410/QD-UBND dated May 13, 2026, the Provincial People's Committee approved the adjustment of Dong Thap Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050, the province has 35 industrial parks with a total area of 8,626.76ha. In addition to 6 operating industrial parks with a total area of 1,070ha, there are currently 4 industrial parks investing in infrastructure construction, with a total area of more than 1,113ha; 25 industrial parks have been planned and are calling for investment. Notably, Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park with a scale of 470ha started construction of technical infrastructure on September 17, 2026. Site clearance is basically completed; it is expected to attract secondary investors from the first quarter of 2027. Binh Dong Industrial Park has a scale of nearly 212ha, is implementing compensation and site clearance, reaching 43.7%. The province strives to complete this work in 2026.

Besides industrial parks, Dong Thap plans 66 industrial clusters (ICs), with a total area of about 3,854ha. ICs have attracted 126 projects, including 17 FDI projects and 109 DDI projects; the average occupancy rate reaches 71.72%. In the period 2026 - 2030, the province plans to develop 18 more ICs with a total area of about 4,912.76ha; and strive to establish at least 8 new ICs, with a total area of about 552ha.
The expansion of industrial park and cluster infrastructure, investment attraction and putting new projects into operation are expected to continue to create more jobs, contributing to stabilizing income and lives of workers in the area.
