With 3 initiatives to improve machinery and equipment in shoe production, Mr. Bui Thanh Tuan - Head of the Foundation Group, Workshop Department, Sao Vang Co., Ltd. - received the Creative Labor Certificate for the first time.

More than 25 years of attachment to Sao Vang Co., Ltd., Mr. Bui Thanh Tuan (born in 1983) has always proactively observed each production stage, researched and researched to come up with initiatives and solutions to overcome inadequacies, contributing to improving productivity and product quality.

One of his typical initiatives is the creation of a leather grinder with a raw material placement table, replacing a hand grinder. According to Mr. Tuan, in the past, workers had to use one hand to hold the shoe hat that had been framed, and the other hand to hold the grinder to handle the leather edge. The work is not only heavy, easily causing hand fatigue, but also difficult to ensure accuracy. Just grinding too deep, the sewing line may break, making the product not meet requirements.

Starting from that reality, Mr. Tuan took advantage of old engines, self-made raw material placement tables and shafts for attaching looms that can be adjusted in thickness and thickness. Looms of different sizes help the equipment meet the processing requirements of each type of product.

Thanks to this initiative, labor productivity increased 4 times, product quality was improved, while reducing labor capacity and the risk of unsafety for workers. The estimated profit value is 648 million VND per year.

In 2025, Mr. Tuan continued to research and manufacture automatic machine making steel pants - accessories to help increase adhesion between shoe caps and shoe soles. This solution helps businesses significantly reduce labor costs in the 3-month production process, from 324 million VND to 54 million VND, saving 270 million VND.

The third initiative he put into application is the fabrication of shoe protective accessories at the shape pressing stage. During the production process, oil from the piston machine can be sprayed into shoes; the toe of the shoe is also prone to collision with the device or suspension, leading to tears and damage to the product. To overcome this, Mr. Tuan manufactured soft plastic accessories to wrap the piston tips that are at risk of spraying oil, and at the same time installed plastic bezels at positions on the suspension that are prone to damage to shoes. The solution helps to limit defective products, reduce recycling time, ensure delivery progress and save businesses about 150 million VND/year.

With practical contributions from 3 initiatives in 2025, Mr. Tuan was honored to be awarded the Creative Labor Certificate of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the first time. This is a worthy recognition for the spirit of creative labor, dedication to work of workers, and at the same time adds motivation for him to continue to explore and improve techniques, bringing practical efficiency to businesses.

Next, Mr. Tuan also mobilized workers to participate in emulation movements, donations, support and humanitarian blood donation launched by the Trade Union and businesses.
