VNPT Trade Union develops a project to promote building a safe labor culture in the workplace

According to the VNPT Trade Union (under the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union), the project aims to raise awareness and responsibility of trade union officials, union members, workers, and employers about building a safe labor culture at the workplace. At the same time, promote the role of trade union organizations in representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations; contributing to improving labor productivity, quality, and operational efficiency of units.

VNPT Trade Union requests that the project implementation must ensure practicality, efficiency, and conformity with the operating characteristics of trade union organizations directly under VNPT Trade Union. Link the project implementation with Workers' Month, Action Month on occupational safety and health; emulation movement "Good labor, High productivity, Good income"; movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring occupational safety and health" and the digital transformation task of the trade union organization.

VNPT Trade Union sets specific goals: 100% of affiliated trade unions develop plans to implement projects suitable to practical conditions; 100% of union members and employees are propagated and disseminated knowledge and skills about occupational safety and health culture at workplaces; 100% of full-time trade union officials and over 90% of grassroots trade union officials are trained and fostered in knowledge and skills about occupational safety and health and building occupational safety and health culture...

In addition, strive for at least 70% of grassroots trade unions to organize activities to respond to the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health annually. Select and build 5 model points on building "Occupational Safety Culture at the Workplace" in units.

The goal for the period 2025-2030 is to strive for 100% of units to build and implement occupational safety and health cultural criteria; making occupational safety and health content an important content in the coordination regulations between professional and trade union levels. 100% of grassroots trade unions apply digital technology in propaganda, management and deployment of occupational safety and health activities.

Right in 2026, VNPT Trade Union selected 5 units including: VNPT Net Trade Union, VNPT Hanoi Trade Union, VNPT IT Trade Union, VNPT AI Trade Union, VNPT Technology Trade Union to directly implement the pilot model on "Trade Unions promoting building a culture of occupational safety at the workplace".

Organize a preliminary review of the 2025-2027 period in 2027 to evaluate implementation results, draw experience and set tasks for the next period. Summarize the project in 2030, commend and reward collectives, individuals, and occupational safety and health workers with outstanding achievements. Build a database and bank of typical models of occupational safety culture in the VNPT Trade Union system; replicate effective models, initiatives to improve working conditions and apply science and technology in occupational safety and health management.
