Hai Phong - Nearly 400 union members and workers participate in the Health Day; about 280 female workers receive free gynecological examinations and cervical cancer screening.

On the afternoon of September 28, at Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phuc Dien Industrial Park, Hai Phong City), the Health Day "Early Care - Protecting the Future" was organized with the participation of Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In the program, nearly 400 male and female union members and workers participated. Among them, about 280 female union members and workers received communication, reproductive health advice, gynecological examinations and free cervical cancer screening right at the enterprise.

The festival is organized to implement Plan No. 90 dated April 7, 2026 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing the production of the television program "Muon noi yeu thuong season 4 - year 2026".

The activity aims to create conditions for female workers to access preventive health services, raise awareness about periodic health check-ups and proactively detect early disease risks.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tha, a worker who has worked at the company for nearly 20 years, said that production work takes up most of the time in the day. After work, women also take care of children and family, so proactive health check-ups are sometimes delayed.

The program organized right at the company makes it much more convenient for us. In addition to being examined, we are also advised by doctors on necessary knowledge to proactively monitor our health" - Ms. Tha shared.

Speaking at the Festival, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that health, especially reproductive health of female union members and workers, is the foundation of family happiness, human resource quality and sustainable development.

According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, work pressure, living conditions and barriers in accessing health services make it difficult for a part of female workers to pay due attention to periodic health check-ups and screenings.

With the spirit of "taking union members and workers as the center", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor determines that caring for and protecting the physical and mental health of union members is an important task. Bringing counseling, examination and screening activities to workplaces immediately helps workers have more convenient access to medical services.

Ms. Thai Thu Xuong requested trade union levels to continue to listen to the needs of union members, coordinate with businesses and medical facilities to maintain practical health care activities. Businesses also need to arrange appropriate time and conditions for workers to proactively visit for examination.

The festival is accompanied by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, the City Industrial Park Trade Union, Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd., Labor and Union Magazine, and a team of experts and doctors.

Through the program, the Organizing Committee hopes to help workers improve their knowledge, proactively have periodic health check-ups, detect early disease risks and protect their own and family's health.
