From "Good at state affairs, good at housework" to the aspiration for digital transformation in An Giang

Mark of a 15-year journey

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a conference to summarize 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6b/NQ-BCH on mobilizing female workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ) and Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ on the emulation movement "Good at work, good at home"; and at the same time commended typical CNVCLĐ families in the period 2021-2026.

According to Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the Provincial Trade Union Affairs Committee, An Giang currently has 68,772 female union members, accounting for about 57% of the total number of trade union members, operating in 685 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) and professional unions.

In the past 15 years, trade union levels have organized thousands of propaganda sessions on gender equality, policies for female workers and family building; more than 1,500 inspections and supervisions of the implementation of regimes and policies for female workers. Many care models such as "Trade Union Meals", "Trade Union Homes", scholarships for workers' children, periodic health check-ups... have contributed to improving the lives of union members and workers. Through this, more and more female workers and employees have both completed their professional tasks well and built happy families, becoming a support for agencies, businesses and society.

Spreading typical examples

The emulation movement has seen the emergence of many typical, dedicated, creative trade union officials who always put the interests of union members first. Typical examples include Ms. Do Thi Thanh Van, Vice President of the Grassroots Trade Union of An Bien Medical Center, who has made many contributions to improving the quality of reproductive health care and scientific research. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Suong, Vice President of the Grassroots Trade Union of CIC Group Joint Stock Company, advised on many welfare policies exceeding regulations for employees, contributing to building sustainable business development.

Ms. Su Thi Thuy Trang, Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union of An Giang Technical Center for Natural Resources and Environment, is a typical example in innovation, technology application and digital transformation.

At the conference, the Provincial Labor Federation commended 9 collectives and 45 individuals with outstanding achievements in 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6b and Directive No. 03. Among them, 2 families were commended at the national level by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien said that in the coming time, trade union levels will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, taking union members as the center; focusing on improving professional qualifications, professional skills, digital skills and the ability to apply science and technology, artificial intelligence for the team of workers and employees. "A happy family will create happy workers; happy workers will contribute to building agencies and businesses to develop and a stable and civilized society," Mr. Tien emphasized.
