7 teams compete in occupational safety and health skills in Van Don special zone
Quang Ninh - 7 teams from grassroots trade unions in Van Don special zone participated in the knowledge competition on occupational safety and health and first aid practice.
On September 26, according to information from the Van Don Special Zone Trade Union, the unit just organized the "Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officer" Contest in 2026, with the participation of 7 teams from trade unions of businesses in the area.
The teams competed in 3 categories: Greetings, knowledge and first aid practice for labor accidents.
The content focuses on legal regulations on occupational safety and health; responsibilities of agencies, units, businesses and employees for occupational safety and health; organization, management, and operating methods of the network of safety and health workers.
In the greeting round, the teams introduced units and businesses through skits, skits, and arts; incorporating content on labor safety and hygiene, environmental protection, and the movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene".
The knowledge test section includes 15 multiple-choice questions on legal regulations and knowledge related to occupational safety and health.
In the practical competition, teams handle simulated situations, perform first aid skills for people with electric shock, injuries, bleeding, burns and some accidents that may occur during labor.
Ms. Le Thi Net - Chairwoman of Van Don Special Zone Trade Union - said that the contest aims to raise awareness and responsibility of employers and employees towards occupational safety and hygiene; fostering knowledge and skills for the network of safety and hygiene workers.
This is also an opportunity for safety and hygiene workers to exchange practical experiences, practice initial response skills when incidents occur, contributing to preventing labor accidents, occupational diseases and protecting workers' health.
At the end of the contest, the organizers awarded the first prize to the Trade Union of Taiheiyo Shinju Vietnam Co., Ltd.; 2 second prizes to the Trade Union of Mai Quyen Tourism Co., Ltd. and the Trade Union of Van Don Forestry Co., Ltd.
Two third prizes belonged to the Trade Union of Hong Nap Co., Ltd. and the Trade Union of Van Don Investment and Development Joint Stock Company. The Organizing Committee also awarded consolation prizes and style prizes to participating teams.
