Strengthening the relationship between Dien Bien Trade Union and 5 Northern provinces of Laos

On the afternoon of September 24, during a visit and working trip to the locality, the delegation of the Confederation of Labour Union of 5 Northern Laos provinces paid a courtesy visit to the Standing Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Mua A Vang - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province and representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors received the delegation.

The Lao Trade Union delegation includes 15 officials from 5 provinces: Luang Prabang, Luang Namtha, Bo Keo, Udomxay and Phong Sa Ly, led by Mr. Som Chin - Thep Pha Chan, Chairman of the Luang Prabang Provincial Trade Union Federation.

At the reception, Mr. Mua A Vang highly appreciated the traditional and close cooperative relationship between Dien Bien province and the northern provinces of Laos; especially noting the effectiveness of coordination between the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation and the Trade Unions of 5 friendly provinces.

Maintaining visits, exchanges and professional sharing in the past time has contributed to improving the effectiveness of caring for workers, while strengthening understanding and trust between the two sides.

Speaking in response, Mr. Som Chin - Thep Pha Chan respectfully thanked the warm welcome of the provincial leaders; expressed his desire for the two sides to continue to expand practical cooperation, towards more practical activities, and better care for the lives of officials and union members.

On this occasion, the two sides exchanged souvenirs and took photos to mark the working trip, contributing to fostering the special friendly relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
