Initiative to improve productivity and product quality

More than 10 years of attachment to the Automatic Electronics industry, LED - Electric workshop, Rang Dong Lamp and Thermos Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Viet Tung has always proactively coordinated with the technical department to research and test improvement initiatives to improve productivity and product quality.

In the context of businesses promoting the production of complex electronic circuit boards for export, while developing smart product lines using solar energy, technical and quality requirements are increasingly high, products must meet Class 2 standards according to IPC and the specific requirements of each customer. The initiatives of Mr. Tung and his colleagues have contributed to meeting production requirements, optimizing existing equipment and saving the company billions of VND.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Tung shared: "The most satisfying thing is that the circuit boards produced by the production team meet the strict requirements of US customers without having to invest in more production lines worth billions of VND. With complex circuit boards, including hundreds of components, improving the operating process helps maximize machine capacity, increase output, reduce production costs and improve skills for the technical team".

According to Mr. Tung, improved product quality not only helps businesses consolidate their reputation and expand their opportunities to receive orders, but also creates a stable development foundation, bringing better jobs and income for workers.

At the assembly workshop, many stages such as removing electric wires, folding light bulbs, separating magnets have been automated by robotic arms, replacing manual operations. According to Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh - Deputy Head of LED Assembly 2, the initiatives mainly focus on production lines with large output, stages that frequently experience congestion or difficult working positions, posing potential safety risks.

From the actual production, workers and technical departments have researched and manufactured supporting equipment such as product fixed structures, automatic welding equipment.... These improvements help reduce the number of direct workers, while significantly increasing productivity. For example, in some assembly stages, the number of operators decreased from 6 to 3, while productivity increased from 150% - 200%.

Focusing on developing high-quality human resources

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Kien - Deputy General Director of Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company - said that the enterprise focuses on developing high-quality human resources, because this is a force that creates added value, develops products and solutions with high intellectual content at competitive prices.

The effectiveness of the initiatives is clearly shown through specific figures. Previously, the downlight lamp assembly line reached about 1,500 10-hour products; after improvement, the output increased to 2,500 10-hour products. On another line, the application of automatic robots significantly reduces the number of operating labor, while improving production capacity.

Rang Dong Company focuses on promoting the spirit of innovation in workers through technical demonstration festivals. Workers are trained and equipped with knowledge, working methods and improvement methods to improve production efficiency.

Every year, the company organizes an evaluation of results, and at the same time honors individuals and collectives with many creative initiatives and solutions that bring practical efficiency.
