Seasonal labor demand increases, lack of construction workers at the end of the year
Khanh Hoa - Labor recruitment demand is forecast to increase by 5-10% in the fourth quarter of 2026, concentrated in the construction, processing, manufacturing, and Tet service industries.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Employment Service Center, in the last months of the year, manufacturing enterprises continue to recruit to meet orders, while projects and projects are accelerating progress.
Temporary labor demand is also expected to increase in the fields of accommodation, catering, wholesale, retail and transportation to serve shopping and tourism activities during the Lunar New Year.
It is forecasted that the processing and manufacturing industry accounts for 45-48% of the recruitment demand in the fourth quarter; the construction industry accounts for 20-23%. The accommodation, catering and wholesale and retail services industries each account for about 7-9%.
General labor continues to account for a large proportion, expected to be 85-87% of recruitment demand.
About 65-68% of the target does not require experience, creating opportunities for newcomers to participate in the labor market.
The salary of 5–7 million VND/month is forecast to be the most common, accounting for 80-83% of recruitment demand.
However, the labor market still faces a shortage of human resources.
In the third quarter of 2026, the number of job seekers was only 38.87% of the recruitment demand. Notably, the number of general job seekers only met 26.83% of the demand, while workers with university degrees or higher were 3.56 times higher than the recruitment target in this group.
Khanh Hoa Employment Service Center recommends that businesses proactively announce recruitment needs, strengthen short-term training and connect with workers.
Job seekers need to regularly monitor recruitment information, proactively supplement skills to seize job opportunities at the end of the year.
In October 2026, the demand for domestic recruitment and working abroad in Khanh Hoa is 2,780 workers.
In which, the domestic market has a demand for 1,645 workers. The construction industry accounts for the largest number with 1,002 workers, followed by tourism - restaurants - hotels with 262 workers and manufacturing and processing with 175 workers.
The salary ranges from 4.2-50 million VND/month, depending on the position.
For the foreign market, the total recruitment demand is 1,135 workers. Of which, Algeria needs 500 workers, Japan 365 workers, Romania 150 workers, South Korea 90 workers and Russia 30 workers.
The main recruitment occupations include construction, mechanical processing, food processing, caregiving, care, laundry, transportation, electricians and painters. Expected income from 18-57.7 million VND/month, depending on market and job position.
