According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in September 2026, the recruitment demand for human resources in the service and wholesale - retail sectors accounted for 59.9% in the Capital.
Hanoi Employment Service Center said that the recruitment market in September showed a shift in the flow of human resources strongly concentrated in the service - consumer block, while the recruitment scale in the industry - construction group temporarily narrowed. In September, the total recruitment demand of businesses in the City reached 40,000 positions.
Based on the survey, collecting information on 11,311 recruitment targets of 2,557 vacant job information at the Hanoi Employment Service Center, it shows that recruitment demand is concentrated in some industry groups.
The group of activities, other services and wholesale and retail accounted for 59.9% of the total market recruitment demand. Industry, processing, manufacturing - construction accounted for 24.1%. The remaining positions recorded the participation of the health and social support sector (4.3%), real estate business (2.9%), accommodation and catering services (2.4%). Financial - banking and education - training branches all accounted for 1.4%.
Hanoi Employment Service Center said that although the service sector maintains a superior advantage due to increased consumer demand and living services at the end of the year, the processing and construction industry sector still plays a pillar role with high actual recruitment demand, especially in the context that businesses are accelerating infrastructure construction progress, disbursing public investment and preparing production orders for the fourth quarter of 2026.
Also in September, recruitment demand in Hanoi continued to strongly focus on the group of workers with high professional qualifications and skills. Leading the entire market is the group of mid-level professionals with 25.97%, closely followed by senior professionals reaching 24.17%. The personnel group of office assistants (16.19%) and managers (5.01%).
The total recruitment demand of this high-quality human resource block accounts for more than 71% of the total recruitment demand, clearly reflecting the strategy of businesses in prioritizing optimizing the operating apparatus to break through the business plan in the late year," said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center.
In the opposite direction, the direct labor force maintains a moderate recruitment scale, typically as assembly workers operating machinery and equipment (7.98%), service and sales staff (7.59%), craftsmen (7.2%) and simple laborers (5.79%). The overall situation shows that the Capital's labor market both focuses on employing technical talents and maintains a reasonable frontline force to maintain the pace of service production.
