Ca Mau enterprises have difficulty recruiting workers despite paying high salaries
Many businesses in Ca Mau need to recruit hundreds of workers but are still short of people, including positions with an income of 350,000 VND/day.
Businesses need people, recruitment is still difficult
Mr. Le Van Luu, Director of Vietnam Shrimp Export Processing Joint Stock Company, Vinh Loi commune, Ca Mau province, said that the enterprise needs to recruit more than 100 seafood scale workers but has not found enough people. To retain workers, the enterprise coordinates with trade unions to create favorable conditions for workers to feel secure in their work and stick with them for a long time.
Lack of labor also occurs in the field of civil construction. Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, a construction contractor in Bac Lieu ward, Ca Mau, said that he needs 10 assistant workers and construction workers to serve house repairs at the end of the year. Although his income is no less than 350,000 VND/day, he has not yet found enough people.

While businesses need human resources to maintain production, workers are concerned about income, working conditions and travel distance. Ms. Nguyen Phuong Loan, a worker at Pinetree Co., Ltd. (Korean Garment Company), Vinh Loi commune, said that she has worked for more than 5 years, with an average income of about 7 million VND/month. Working near home helps her save rent and facilitate living.
Mr. Huynh Huu Tinh, Vice Chairman of Vinh Thanh Commune People's Committee, Ca Mau, said that job counseling and introduction at the grassroots level helps young people access recruitment information and find suitable jobs to stabilize their lives.
Expanding labor supply and demand connection

The off-province market has nearly 1,000 positions, with an average income of 7-12 million VND/month; some jobs requiring high skills can reach 18 million VND/month.

The foreign labor market in Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China) has an income level introduced from 23-38 million VND/month. Mr. Cao Chi Cuong, Deputy General Director of Vinamex Human Resources Joint Stock Company, assessed that bringing job transaction sessions to the commune level helps people directly access licensed businesses. The unit supports workers to complete dossiers and procedures for borrowing capital according to policies to work abroad.
Through 23 job transaction sessions, the program has connected 958 businesses with more than 4,400 workers. Among them, 18 sessions were organized directly at the grassroots level, combined online with bridge points in Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho City.

In the fourth quarter of 2026, the Department of Home Affairs of Ca Mau province established 3 working groups, deployed 46 job transaction sessions in communes and wards, and organized 64 training classes for grassroots collaborators. Each session attracts about 150-200 workers, helping people access recruitment information from 5-7 businesses. People who have not found a job continue to be guided by the Provincial Employment Service Center to update recruitment information through official channels.
The Department of Home Affairs of Ca Mau province said that it will continue to diversify forms of counseling, bringing recruitment information closer to people.
