Many practical policies for workers

On October 11, Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhu Quynh, Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of First Team Vietnam - Lam Dong Garment Co., Ltd. Branch, said that in the past time, the trade union has negotiated many practical welfare policies for workers.

According to Ms. Quynh, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union determines that negotiation, signing and supervision of the implementation of collective labor agreements are key tasks. The Trade Union proactively grasps the thoughts and aspirations of union members, summarizes proposals on salaries, working hours, rest, welfare and working conditions to exchange with the Board of Directors.

Through dialogues, employee conferences, direct exchanges at departments and receiving opinions from union members, the trade union identifies issues that need to be prioritized. From there, propose terms that are more beneficial to employees, suitable to the production and business conditions of enterprises.

For example, the collective labor agreement was signed on July 12, 2025, with a term of 3 years. Before signing, the draft was consulted with all 1,298 employees and received 100% consensus.

Many clauses in the agreement directly support the lives of workers. Specifically, workers participating in vocational training are supported with 400,000 VND/month; gasoline and rent support from 200,000 VND to 1.8 million VND/month.

Employees with children under 6 years old are supported with 50,000 VND/month for each child. The attendance bonus is 1 million VND/month according to the prescribed conditions.

The agreement stipulates support for lunch at 20,000 VND/person and snacks at 17,000 VND/person for workers working overtime for 2 hours or more a day.

These policies contribute to reducing living costs, improving working conditions and showing the role of collective bargaining in protecting workers' rights.

Trade unions promote their supervisory role

Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhu Quynh said that after signing the agreement, the grassroots trade union continues to coordinate with the Board of Directors to propagate and disseminate content so that workers understand their rights and obligations.

The Trade Union also monitors and supervises the implementation of policies, receives feedback and proposes timely handling of arising issues.

The Trade Union coordinates with businesses to organize many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of workers such as caring for Tet, Workers' Month, Trade Union Meals, supporting people in difficult circumstances and organizing cultural and sports activities.

All workers are signed labor contracts, participate in social insurance and have periodic health check-ups; female workers are also given attention to gynecological examinations," Ms. Quynh said.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, with welfare policies and activities to care for and protect workers' rights, First Team Vietnam - Lam Dong Garment Co., Ltd. Branch was commended by the unit at the "Exemplary Enterprise for Workers" Conference in 2026.

This result recognizes the efforts of businesses and trade unions in building harmonious and stable labor relations. At the same time, it affirms the role of dialogue, negotiation and supervision in ensuring the rights of workers.
