Can Tho Trade Union visits and gives gifts to union members and workers at enterprises

Here, the Company's grassroots trade union (CĐCS) reported on the unit's operations.

Over the past time, grassroots trade unions have contributed opinions on the implementation of regimes and policies related to salaries, bonuses, social insurance and periodic health check-ups, contributing to ensuring the rights and health of workers to feel secure in working. Trade unions also participate in building and implementing grassroots democracy regulations and internal labor regulations at enterprises.

The work of caring for the lives of union members is implemented through many practical activities. The grassroots trade union has visited and supported more than 90 cases of union members facing difficulties, illnesses, and funerals with a total budget of 100 million VND.

In case workers encounter upheavals, the Trade Union promotes the spirit of mutual affection, mobilizing union members and workers to donate and support.

In addition, the grassroots trade union regularly visits workers who are sick and have to take long leave; organizes monthly birthday gifts for union members, gifts for union members' children on holidays, Tet and programs for children.

Cultural and sports activities such as tug-of-war and football are also organized, contributing to creating a healthy playground, strengthening exchanges and connecting union members and workers in enterprises.

Speaking at the working session, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, City Party Committee Member, Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - highly appreciated the activities of the Company's grassroots trade union in caring for union members and workers in the past time.

Towards the 2027 Lunar New Year, the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation proposed that grassroots trade unions continue to promote the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of workers; and at the same time proactively listen to and promptly grasp legitimate thoughts and aspirations to coordinate and effectively resolve them. The City Labor Federation will always accompany and support grassroots trade unions in professional activities to remove difficulties and protect the rights of union members and workers.

On this occasion, the Can Tho City Labor Federation presented 15 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at the company.
