Communication on population and reproductive health work for 160 workers

Accordingly, the Bac Ninh City Labor Federation coordinated with the Sub-Department of Population and Children to organize a communication conference on population work and reproductive health care for 160 workers of Richsound Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Que Vo Industrial Park, Nam Son Ward).

Attending the Conference were Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice President of the City Labor Federation; Doctor Do Tien Vinh - Specialist level I, Head of General Clinic, Health Center of Industrial Parks of Bac Ninh City; officials of the City Population and Children Sub-Department; leaders and specialists of the Trade Union Work Committee, Industrial Park Trade Union Committee.

Here, Doctor Do Tien Vinh provided information on reproductive health care skills and family planning for workers; participating in communication activities, workers were able to listen to and discuss practical contents:

Safe sex and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS; prevention of unwanted pregnancies and harms, consequences of abortion; not choosing the gender of the fetus and consequences;

The importance, meaning, and benefits of pre-marital health check-ups, prenatal and newborn screening, breastfeeding; benefits of family planning, modern contraceptive methods; benefits of implementing population policies correctly, not early marriage, not consanguineous marriage...

At the same time, workers are guided on life skills, reproductive health care and how to recognize, prevent and control reproductive tract infections; manifestations and diseases that may affect health during pregnancy...

Thereby, helping workers gain more knowledge to limit and promptly prevent some diseases related to reproductive health.
