Ca Mau female workers are consulted on reproductive health
Female workers in Ca Mau are consulted on reproductive health, answered common problems and guided to proactively take care of themselves.
From shyness to boldly asking doctors
On October 13th, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation organized a program to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th, combined with a thematic talk "Female union members, healthy, beautiful, confident workers" for female union members and workers at Pinetree One Member Limited Liability Company.
At the program, Specialist Doctor II Duong Kim Ngan - Head of the Department of Reproductive Health, Ca Mau Provincial Center for Disease Control - advised and shared knowledge about women's health. The contents mentioned included: breastfeeding, contraceptive methods, and common medical risks in women.
Notably, the direct exchange attracted the attention of many female workers. From initial concerns, women boldly asked doctors about reproductive health, health issues related to work and life.
Ms. Dao Thi Nhi said that this is the first time she has participated in a health counseling program for female workers. Doctors' sharing helps her gain more practical knowledge to know how to take care of her health.
Meanwhile, Ms. Quach Minh To believes that female workers often pay a lot of attention to work and income, but sometimes do not pay due attention to their health.
After listening to the doctor share and answer workers' questions, I saw my image in it. From today, I will pay more attention to my own health. I thank the Trade Union organization for organizing a very useful talk for female workers," Ms. To shared.

Specialist Doctor II Duong Kim Ngan said that this is the first time she has coordinated with the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation to organize health consultations at a business with many female workers.
According to Dr. Ngan, workers may not pay due attention to their health for many reasons, including psychological hesitation or not proactively examining and screening for diseases. Equipping them with reproductive health knowledge at work is a practical way to help female workers raise awareness and be more proactive in protecting their health.
Trade unions strengthen health care for female workers
Ms. Ngo Diem Phuc - Standing Vice President of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation - said that taking care of the health of female union members and workers is one of the key tasks of the Trade Union organization. Through consulting activities, the Trade Union wishes to help women improve their knowledge, know how to take care of themselves, harmonize work and family life.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 30 gifts to female union members in particularly difficult circumstances, contributing to encouraging women to feel secure in working and attached to businesses.
The grassroots trade union of Pinetree One Member Limited Liability Company was also selected to implement the model "Trade Union Arms - Accompanying Comprehensive Health Care for Female Workers". The model aims to strengthen health care activities, create conditions for female union members to exchange, share knowledge and build happy families.
According to the plan, on October 16, 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to organize the program at Vieos Foods Co., Ltd., Ly Thuong Kiet street, Tan Thanh ward, Ca Mau province.
