Hung Yen Labor Federation improves the quality of training and fostering trade union officials
Hung Yen - Grassroots Trade Union officials in Hung Yen wish to receive professional training and practical situation handling guidance to improve operational efficiency.
Trade union officials give opinions
At the Conference "Listening to union members and workers speak" organized by the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation, opinions from the grassroots level showed that trade union officials, especially those who are new to trade union activities, still face difficulties in the process of deploying activities and implementing policies to care for union members and workers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Viet Hao High-Class Garment Co., Ltd. (Duong Hao ward, Hung Yen province) said that she herself is a newly participating Trade Union official, so she does not have many methods and experiences in organizing activities.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Tuyen shared that the grassroots Trade Union of Viet Hao High-Class Garment Co., Ltd. was established in December 2021. However, in the process of implementing activities to care for workers' lives, the unit still encountered obstacles, especially in understanding and applying regulations to reality.
Although there are guiding documents, some contents are still not really clear for grassroots officials. The application of regulations is sometimes based on personal understanding, leading to confusion in the implementation process. Therefore, Trade Union officials want to be specifically and directly guided on each nghiệp vụ, helping to deploy activities in accordance with regulations.
For example, in organizing Tet gift purchases for workers, grassroots trade unions must consider between limited funding sources and the need to care for a large number of workers. Currently, the company has about 1,000 workers, while the funding for Trade Union activities has not met many forms of support.
Ms. Tuyen shared that the selection of gift forms, purchasing procedures and completing documents all need to be specifically guided. If only spending cash at a low level, the support value is not large, while organizing gift purchases also raises many requirements for procedures, invoices and implementation procedures.
There are things that when implemented, we do not know how to implement the steps correctly. Grassroots Trade Union officials really need specific guidance to be able to apply them immediately to work" - Ms. Tuyen shared.

Hung Yen Labor Federation continues to innovate training content
Recording opinions from the grassroots level, Ms. Pham Thi Thang - Vice Chairwoman of Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation said that in fact, the team of newly participating Trade Union officials still faces difficulties in professional skills, skills and methods of organizing Trade Union activities.
In the coming time, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to pay attention to organizing training classes, professional development, and trade union work skills, prioritizing practical contents suitable to the needs of grassroots trade union officials, especially new participants.
Along with that, the Provincial Labor Federation is studying to organize classes by region and cluster area to create favorable conditions for officials to participate, reduce travel time and costs. The training content will strengthen exchange, discussion, experience sharing and guidance on handling situations arising in practice.
According to Ms. Thang, in the past time, the Provincial Labor Federation has organized training classes according to the Southern region, corresponding to the former Hung Yen province, and the Northern region, corresponding to the old Thai Binh province, in order to create favorable conditions for grassroots Trade Union officials.
In addition to professional training, the Provincial Labor Federation also deploys registration for legal and security and order propaganda classes for grassroots trade unions from now until December 2026, with the goal of organizing 1-2 classes per month.
At the same time, the Provincial Labor Federation has issued a plan to organize communication classes, training on legal policies and labor relations for Trade Union officials. In September and October 2026, it is expected to organize 2 classes, including one class in the Northern region and one class in the Southern region.
In the coming time, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to study the content and methods of training and fostering associated with practical requirements at the grassroots level. Strengthening training in a practical and easy-to-apply direction is expected to contribute to improving the capacity of the contingent of Trade Union officials, helping activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers become increasingly effective.
