Vinh Long establishes grassroots trade union with 119 union members

On October 5th, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation organized the announcement of the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union of Yuehai Vietnam Food Co., Ltd. The unit is directly under the Provincial Labor Federation, with 119 workers joining the organization.

The Conference also appointed an Executive Committee of 5 comrades, chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Han. The Executive Committee is responsible for assigning tasks, developing plans and organizing the first congress in 12 months.

Speaking to receive the assignment, the Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union promised to always strive to perform well the role of representing, caring for the lives, and protecting the legitimate rights of union members. At the same time, actively accompany the development of businesses.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee - emphasized that trade unions must truly be a reliable support for workers. Trade unions act as a bridge to harmonize the interests between workers and businesses.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam also requested the new Executive Committee to urgently stabilize the organization. It is necessary to start immediately with specific actions such as listening, caring for and accompanying workers. The Provincial Labor Federation will always support grassroots trade unions.
