Establishment of grassroots trade unions for 4 enterprises, admission of 250 more union members

According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), from September 28 - October 3, the Provincial Trade Union developed 250 union members and established 4 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS).

The grassroots trade unions established include: Ying Hsin Co., Ltd. with 98 union members; Liquid Combustion Technology Vietnam Joint Stock Company with 7 union members; New Date Co., Ltd. with 26 union members and YueHai Vietnam Food Co., Ltd. with 119 union members.

Along with that, the Provincial Labor Federation dissolved 3 grassroots trade unions; renamed the grassroots trade union of Vinh Long University of Technology and Education to the grassroots trade union of Vinh Long University of Technology and Education; recognized the results of supplementary elections of the Executive Committee and Inspection Committee at 4 grassroots trade unions.

The Provincial Labor Federation also guided and directed the organization of the 1st Congress, term 2026 - 2030 for 3 grassroots trade unions. To date, 9 grassroots trade unions have organized congresses, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Notably, the Provincial Labor Federation has issued an official dispatch to the Party Committee and People's Committees of communes and wards with enterprises in the old Vinh Long area that do not have trade union organizations, in order to coordinate in promoting union member development and establishing grassroots trade unions.

The unit also submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province for consideration and approval of the policy on the Project to establish the Industrial Zone Trade Union; proposed solutions to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions and coordinate to solve problems arising in labor relations at enterprises.

During the week, the Provincial Labor Federation directly surveyed the demand for social housing for union members and workers in Long Duc Industrial Park. As a result, 200 surveys were conducted at 3 boarding houses and 4 grassroots trade unions of enterprises and schools.

Trade union levels continue to implement many activities to care for union members and workers. In which, grassroots trade unions, commune and ward trade unions organized Mid-Autumn Festival activities with a total mobilized budget of more than 1.9 billion VND, awarding more than 1,793 gifts and 1,664 scholarships to disadvantaged students.

The grassroots trade union of Vinh Long Water Supply Joint Stock Company visited 31 union members with the amount of 15 million VND, and at the same time donated 3,865 notebooks to children of union members in difficult circumstances with a total budget of more than 39 million VND. The grassroots trade union of Dong Hai Ben Tre Joint Stock Company awarded a Trade Union Warm House worth 100 million VND to a difficult union member.

Total number of units managed by the Provincial Labor Federation: 07 Commune and Ward Trade Unions; 668 Grassroots Trade Unions, grassroots trade unions with 182,498 union members/208,066 workers.
