Quang Tri establishes grassroots trade union, admits more union members at healthcare enterprises

On October 12, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation confirmed that Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union had just held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union of Tam Nguyen Medical Joint Stock Company and recognize union members.

Specifically, Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union announced the decision to recognize 21 union members and establish the grassroots Trade Union of Tam Nguyen Medical Joint Stock Company. The Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union for the term 2026 - 2030 includes 3 members, chaired by Mr. Le Xuan Nguyen.

The establishment of Trade Union organizations at enterprises not only contributes to the development of union members and the expansion of the grassroots trade union network, but also creates conditions for workers to have representative organizations, take care of their lives, and protect their legitimate and lawful rights and interests in the working process.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga - Chairwoman of Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union congratulated the union members and the newly established grassroots Trade Union Executive Committee.

The Chairman of Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union proposed that the Executive Committee soon develop operating regulations, work programs, complete procedures for opening accounts and making seals so that the Trade Union organization can operate properly and effectively. Grassroots trade unions need to promote the role of a bridge between workers and businesses, pay attention to grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members, coordinate to care for material and spiritual life, and build harmonious and stable labor relations.

Representing the enterprise, Mr. Tran Thanh Hieu - Director of Tam Nguyen Medical Joint Stock Company thanked the attention and guidance of the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union in the process of establishing the Trade Union organization. Mr. Hieu committed to creating favorable conditions for the grassroots Trade Union to operate effectively and perform well the function of caring for workers.

Notably, right at the ceremony, Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union and Tam Nguyen Medical Joint Stock Company signed a coordination plan to organize free health check-ups for 50 union members of grassroots trade unions in the ward on the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th.

This activity contributes to concretizing the work of taking care of union members' health, and at the same time shows that the development of the Trade Union organization is associated with practical programs, bringing direct benefits to workers.
