Quang Tri Trade Union cares for and protects rights through labor agreements
Quang Tri - Trade union levels strengthen the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level, protect the rights and care for the lives of union members and workers.
On September 28, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that in the past time, trade union levels coordinated with the government, professional departments and employers to implement grassroots democracy regulations; participate in building and amending internal regulations and rules at agencies, units, and enterprises.
The work of representing and protecting workers' rights is promoted through negotiation, signing and implementation of collective labor agreements (CLAs). To date, 297 CLAs have been scored, evaluated, and ranked.
Trade union levels deploy many activities to care for union members such as visiting and supporting people in difficult circumstances, organizing "Trade Union Meals", medical examinations and gifts. The program "Medical examinations and gifts for workers - people of Quang Tri - For a healthier Vietnam 2026" has provided free medical examinations for 500 workers, and presented 100 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances.
In 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation decided to support 3 "Trade Union Shelter" houses, including 2 newly built houses and 1 repaired house, with a total budget of 125 million VND.
However, as of August 31, 2026, the whole province has 675 units delayed paying social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance for 3 months or more, with a total amount of 129.5 billion VND.
