Trade union launches new model at a business with more than 1,800 employees in Hai Phong

The Trade Union of Aroma Bay Candles Co., Ltd. currently has 1,758 union members out of a total of 1,806 workers. Over the past time, the Trade Union Executive Committee has coordinated with business leaders to implement regimes and policies and implement many practical welfare activities. Every year, workers are allowed to visit and travel during the summer; migrant workers renting houses are supported with 200,000 VND/person/month. Trade unions and businesses also pay attention to supporting difficult cases with levels from 1-15 million VND, depending on actual circumstances.

Based on the criteria set of the "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, the Company's Trade Union achieved 93.5/100 points. This is the basis for the unit to continue reviewing and completing the criteria, improving the effectiveness of representing, caring for and protecting the rights of workers.

In 2027, the Trade Union will focus on improving the remaining limitations, especially the quality of dialogue, collective labor agreements and spiritual and cultural life. In the 2028-2030 period, the unit will continue to standardize and improve the quality of the model, put the criteria into the annual work program, and gradually build a sustainable operating order.

Speaking to direct at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh - Vice Chairwoman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation emphasized that the launch of the model is an important milestone, showing the determination to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities in a practical and effective direction. The implementation model takes workers as the center; taking the quality of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights and interests of union members as a measure. Thereby, contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, accompanying businesses to develop sustainably.

Therefore, immediately after the conference, the Trade Union of Aroma Bay Candles Co., Ltd. developed a implementation plan, clearly assigned responsibilities and regularly inspected the implementation progress, striving for the model to become substantive and suitable to the unit's conditions.

Representing the enterprise, Mr. Hoang Quan - Deputy General Director of the Company also expressed his joy on the launch day of the "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model. At the same time, he affirmed that the company will coordinate with the trade union to implement the committed contents, creating conditions for grassroots trade unions to operate effectively. The company also hopes that through the implementation of the model, employees will continue to unite, improve their skills, promote initiatives, and jointly build a safe working environment, stable and progressive labor relations.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th, the City Labor Federation presented 20 gifts to female union members and workers in difficult circumstances. On the occasion of the model launch, the Company's Trade Union organized "Trade Union Meals" for all union members and workers, contributing to strengthening the connection between employees and businesses and trade union organizations.
