For nearly 2 years, the Cam Dan charity project founded by teacher Suong Mai has built kitchens, libraries and supported meals for children in many localities.

Master Suong Mai (real name Hoang Thi Kim Hau Phuc, born in 1995, currently a Literature tutor at QANDA STUDY system) came to volunteer activities quite early. From when she was a high school student to when she went to university, she always actively participated in volunteer activities and gradually realized that sharing does not necessarily have to start when you have a lot.

As a Literature teacher, she pays a lot of attention to children and learning. According to Suong Mai, for a child in a difficult area, sometimes a classroom is solid enough, a meal is enough, a few books or a computer can also open another door on the journey of searching for knowledge.

In August 2024, the Cam Dan charity project was officially launched. The project name is taken from the name of her first daughter.

Since 2024, the project has built kindergartens in Tuyen Quang, donated computer rooms in Sa Pa (Lao Cai) and Thai Nguyen, built semi-boarding kitchens in Son La, built Happy Houses in Ha Tinh, implemented "Little Cloud Library" at Hanoi Children's Hospital, SOS Children's Village in Thai Binh,...

After each trip, instead of feeling like I just "give," I often feel like I am being repaid a lot," Suong Mai said.

Recently, the project supported meal costs for one school year for 50 highland students in Dien Bien, and also donated a "Little Cloud Library" to Muong Phang Primary School.

According to Suong Mai, meal support is chosen because before thinking about studying well, children need to eat enough and have conditions to feel secure in staying at school. And the library is a way to give children more opportunities to access knowledge and nurture dreams.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vang - Vice Principal, in charge of Huoi He branch, Muong Phang Primary School (Dien Bien) said: "The meals and libraries supported by Ms. Suong Mai are very meaningful for the students at Huoi He school point. This support has contributed to helping them go to school and study better, helping to ignite more faith for them to strive to become useful people for society.

What Suong Mai always sets out before each activity is to correctly identify actual needs. The project exchanges with schools and local people to know what is lacking there and what practical support is needed.

As a teacher, Suong Mai hopes her students understand that kindness is not something far-fetched. According to her, everyone can start by seeing someone who needs help and do what they can within their ability.
