Signing of Cooperation Agreement on credit granting to union members and workers in An Giang
An Giang - Through signing, it shows the spirit of companionship and responsibility between the Trade Union organization and businesses, aiming to better care for union members and workers.
On the afternoon of October 9th, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with Kien Long Commercial Joint Stock Bank to organize a Conference to sign a Cooperation Agreement on credit granting for union members and workers (NLĐ) between the Labor Culture House and KienlongBank Rach Gia branch.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said that the signing conference to coordinate the implementation of credit products aims to support union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province to access legal and safe capital sources, suitable to their needs and financial capacity.
Reality shows that a part of workers still face difficulties in accessing official capital sources. When there is an urgent need but lack of information, lack of conditions to access banks, workers can turn to informal forms of borrowing, potentially risking high interest rates, non-transparent fees, being threatened, harassed when demanding debt, and even affecting their own and family safety.
From that reality, we determine that coordinating with reputable credit institutions to propagate, advise and connect legal capital sources for union members and workers is not only a financial support activity but also a solution to contribute to preventing black credit, limiting arising risks, helping workers feel secure at work, stabilize their lives and be attached to businesses for a long time," Mr. Thinh emphasized.
Through the signing, it also shows the spirit of companionship and sharing responsibility between the Trade Union organization and businesses in the field of finance and banking, towards the goal of increasingly better care for union members and workers.
To make the coordination program substantive, effective and ensure the rights of workers, Mr. Do Tran Thinh requested the parties to pay attention to and put the rights and interests of union members and workers at the center. The propaganda and introduction of credit products must originate from actual needs, ensuring publicity, transparency, easy understanding and suitability with debt repayment capacity. All loan activities must be on a voluntary basis; absolutely do not put pressure, do not link borrowing capital with the rights of union members, employment or Trade Union activities.
The Provincial Labor Federation will direct trade union levels and affiliated units to promote propaganda, grasp the needs and reflect the difficulties of union members and workers. Banks arrange professional focal points, provide accurate information, guide convenient procedures, improve the quality of consulting and implement credit policies according to regulations. The Provincial Labor Culture House is assigned to be the focal point for implementing coordination contents according to the plan, ensuring public disclosure, inspection, evaluation and reporting of specific results.
At the program, the two sides signed an agreement on the Cooperation Regulations of the Provincial Labor Federation and KienlongBank of An Giang province. In addition, the Provincial Labor Culture House and KienlongBank Rach Gia branch also signed a cooperation agreement, the responsibility of each unit in coordinating credit granting for union members and employees.
