Practical benefits when joining a Trade Union organization

News from Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang City on October 7th said: Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union had a working session with leaders of Phuong Trang Garment Co., Ltd. to propagate and mobilize the establishment of grassroots trade unions; and exchange practical policies and rights of workers when participating in the Trade Union organization.

At the working session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Trang, Director of Phuong Trang Garment Co., Ltd., said that the unit currently has 50 employees, of which 32 employees have participated in social insurance, and 18 new employees have been recruited.

Operating in the garment sector, the company's labor force is mainly female, mostly local workers. This is a group of direct production workers, who need more attention in terms of employment, income, policies, working conditions and long-term benefits.

Talking to the company's leaders, Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union informed about the basic contents of the right of employees to voluntarily join and establish trade unions; the role of grassroots trade unions in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and employees; and at the same time clarifying the practical rights when the unit establishes a Trade Union organization.

Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union also informed about contents related to union member welfare, support for union members in difficult circumstances, care for female workers, health check-up programs, legal advice, spiritual life support, as well as the role of the trade union in coordinating with employers to build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations at enterprises.

Helping businesses understand more correctly and fully about the Trade Union

After being exchanged, leaders of Phuong Trang Garment Co., Ltd. agreed to create conditions for employees to learn about and participate in the Trade Union organization.

At the same time, coordinate with Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union in reviewing workers registering to participate and planning personnel for the grassroots trade union executive committee when they meet the conditions.

Also during the working session, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union directly met with workers at the garment factory, grasped the employment situation, working conditions and thoughts of workers.

Through the working session, it not only helps businesses understand more correctly and fully about the Trade Union organization, but also helps workers, especially female workers directly involved in production, have more opportunities to grasp more specifically the activities of caring for and protecting the rights of workers of the trade union organization, thereby creating motivation to join the trade union organization.

According to Ms. Lam Thi Vy, in the coming time, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union will continue to proactively register to work, and at the same time advise the inter-sectoral working group of Duy Nghia commune to coordinate support and connect with businesses with many workers such as Cua Dai Trading and Service Co., Ltd., Hao Viet Restaurant Branch - Sunlux Co., Ltd., Kim Phu General Construction and Business Co., Ltd.... to propagate and mobilize the establishment of grassroots trade unions.
