Ward Trade Union in Da Nang establishes 13 grassroots trade unions, supports OCOP products for digital transformation

On the afternoon of October 10, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union (Da Nang City) organized the "Hoa Khanh Trade Union - Connecting for Development" Day. At the day, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union announced decisions to establish 13 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) and admit 468 new union members. This is the 3rd CĐCS admission and establishment in 2026 of the locality.

For the whole year of 2026, the whole ward has newly established 26 grassroots trade unions, reaching 137% of the assigned target. To date, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union is managing 91 grassroots trade unions with more than 3,700 union members, operating diversely in 4 blocks: autonomous non-business units, non-state non-business units, limited liability companies and joint-stock companies.

Mr. Tra Thanh Quang - Chairman of Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union - emphasized: "Establishing grassroots trade unions is not the destination, but only the starting point. From this point on, trade union officials officially shoulder new responsibilities: not only organizing movements or doing administrative procedures, but more importantly, gradually building the trust of workers in the organization representing them.

Immediately after establishment, new units are guided to complete regulations, open accounts, assign tasks and prepare dialogue and negotiation steps for collective labor agreements. These grassroots trade unions are immediately given access to specialized digital tools to reduce initial paperwork pressure.

Within the framework of the festival, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union signed a cooperation program on digital transformation for the period 2026 - 2030 with Ha Son Technology Co., Ltd.

Previously, the two units had coordinated to pilot many practical technology tools such as: Zalo Mini App "Digital Trade Union - Digital Union Member", AI Chatbot "Digital Assistant" and eGame platform serving union activities.

According to representatives of the Ward Trade Union, digital transformation does not follow trends or "technologize" forms, but directly focuses on core goals: bringing information and policies to union members as quickly as possible; automating administrative stages so that trade union officials spend more time listening, visiting, dialoguing and protecting workers' rights.

A highlight at the program is the activation of the "Hoa Khanh OCOP digitalization" project. Through the connection of the Ward Trade Union and technology partners, the program initially selected 4 suitable OCOP entities in the area to support the construction of digital booths on the Zalo Mini App platform.

Each entity is sponsored with a comprehensive technology solution package worth 70 million VND (the total value of the first phase is 280 million VND), including: product data standardization, booth design, server infrastructure, security and technical operation instructions in the first year.
