Hai Phong - Hai Phong City People's Committee encourages businesses to apply Lunar New Year holidays and National Day holidays like civil servants and public employees.

Hai Phong City has just announced the Lunar New Year and National Day holiday schedule for 2027. Accordingly, for officials, civil servants, public employees and employees in the administrative and non-business sectors, the Lunar New Year 2027 holiday is 7 consecutive days, from Thursday, February 4, 2027 (ie, December 28 of the year Binh Ngo) to the end of Wednesday, February 10, 2027 (ie, January 5 of the year Dinh Mui). The holiday schedule includes 5 Tet holidays as prescribed and 2 compensatory holidays because the weekly holiday coincides with the Tet holiday.

On the occasion of National Day 2027, officials, civil servants, public employees and employees of the administrative and non-business sectors are entitled to 4 consecutive days off, from Thursday, September 2, 2027 to the end of Sunday, September 5, 2027, including 2 National Day holidays according to regulations and 2 weekly holidays.

The City People's Committee requests agencies and units to arrange and arrange work reasonably, ensuring continuous operation, serving organizations and people well; assign forces to be on duty to promptly handle unexpected and arising tasks. For units that do not implement fixed holidays on Saturdays and Sundays, the arrangement of holiday schedules is implemented based on specific plans and legal regulations.

For employees at enterprises, employers proactively choose the Lunar New Year 2027 holiday option according to one of three options: 1 day off at the end of the year Binh Ngo and 4 days off at the beginning of the year Dinh Mui; 2 days off at the end of the year Binh Ngo and 3 days off at the beginning of the year Dinh Mui; or 3 days off at the end of the year Binh Ngo and 2 days off at the beginning of the year Dinh Mui.

On the occasion of National Day 2027, workers will have 2 days off, including September 2, 2027 and 1 consecutive day before or after, i.e., September 1, 2027 or September 3, 2027.

Businesses are responsible for notifying employees of the Lunar New Year and National Day holiday plans in 2027 at least 30 days in advance. In case the weekly holiday coincides with the holiday and Tet holiday, employees are entitled to compensatory leave on the next working day according to regulations. The City People's Committee encourages businesses to apply the same holiday schedule as civil servants and public employees and implement more beneficial agreements for employees.

To ensure socio-economic stability before, during and after the holidays, the City People's Committee requests agencies, units, and localities to proactively implement production and business plans; ensure the balance of supply and demand of goods and services, stabilize market prices, connect labor; practice thrift and combat wastefulness.
