Tay Ninh: 17 labor accidents, pressure to ensure safety at enterprises
Tay Ninh - Recorded 17 labor accidents in the first 6 months of 2026, posing a requirement to increase inspection and risk prevention at enterprises.
Tay Ninh province is facing the requirement to strengthen labor safety and hygiene as the scale of production and business is increasingly expanding.
According to statistics from the beginning of the year to mid-2026, Tay Ninh province recorded 17 labor accidents; of which, 8 cases were recorded with deaths, with 8 deaths. Functional agencies have reviewed and prepared dossiers to handle violations; and closely monitored the execution of administrative penalty decisions, recovered fines and remedied consequences.
Although the mortality rate of occupational accidents has been reduced year by year thanks to inspection, training and requiring over 85% of businesses to monitor the environment, the core causes of the incidents still come from the proactive prevention that is not thorough, the awareness of complying with safety procedures of a part of workers is still poor and some businesses intentionally violate to reduce costs.
After the merger of Tay Ninh and Long An, the province has a natural area of more than 8,536km2, a population of over 3.25 million people and 96 commune-level administrative units. The whole province has more than 1.8 million people in the labor force, about 1.76 million people have jobs. The rate of trained workers reached 76.39%, of which workers with degrees and certificates reached 31.19%.
Economic scale also poses many challenges. Tay Ninh has nearly 36,900 registered businesses, more than 30,200 businesses operating in reality; along with the system of industrial parks, industrial clusters and 3 economic zones at Long An, Moc Bai, and Xa Mat border gates.
The province has more than 360 businesses that have declared more than 2,700 machines and equipment with strict requirements on labor safety. However, the report points out that some businesses have not fully complied with regulations, self-inspection work is not regular, while the management and specialized inspection force is still thin.

Over the past time, the province has implemented many propaganda, training and inspection solutions. The Provincial Labor Federation organized training classes on occupational safety and health knowledge with nearly 60,000 participants; hung more than 2,000 banners, slogans, posters and consolidated and established 38 new networks of safety and health workers with more than 500 members.
The budget for the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health is 500 million VND/year; training work is allocated 600 million VND/year. The rate of periodic health check-ups, occupational disease detection check-ups and labor environment monitoring at enterprises in industrial parks reaches over 85%.
Tay Ninh province determines that in the coming time it will strengthen inspections of high-risk establishments, promote digital transformation in management, improve the responsibility of employers and prioritize prevention, in order to protect the lives and health of workers.
