Workers promote youth, master science and technology and initiatives
Constantly learning, boldly improving and applying science and technology, workers are creating new value for businesses from their daily work.
The spirit of daring to innovate creates practical changes
As the youngest face honored at the program honoring 10 Typical Vietnamese Workers nationwide in 2026, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quyen (born in 1999), a worker of TOTO Vietnam Co., Ltd., under the Hanoi Labor Federation, received the title with pride and emotion.
In the process of production labor, the spirit of eagerness to learn and desire for innovation has motivated the male worker to explore more effective ways of working. One of his typical initiatives is "Improving the conversion of grinding methods from Line grinding to Cell grinding".
Before improvement, to complete a product, 4 people need to take on 4 separate stages. The implementation time between stages is uneven, causing the production process to generate waiting times, affecting productivity.
From that reality, Mr. Quyen proposed changing the method of organizing work, switching to a model where one person can complete all 4 stages. The solution helps reduce waiting time, improve production efficiency, and achieve productivity of 24 products/person/day.
The story of the young worker shows that valuable improvements sometimes start from small inadequacies in daily work. With observation, perseverance and the spirit of daring to innovate, direct workers can contribute to creating practical changes for businesses.
As a person who proactively applies science and technology to improve labor productivity, Mr. Ho Quang Sinh - Electrical engineer of Operation Workshop 1, Phu My Thermal Power Company has many personal initiatives and is the co-author of many initiatives contributing to increasing productivity for the unit.
In 7 years of work, every day he came to the unit, Sinh always observed to detect unreasonable points in his work, and then researched materials to optimize the system.
Mr. Sinh works with the message to proactively innovate, apply science and technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve productivity, ensure labor safety and contribute to the development of the unit and the country. The success of the collective is created from the efforts, discipline and responsibility of each worker.
AI applications improve work efficiency
Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation identifies the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation as the most important breakthrough, while emphasizing the central role, subject and driving force of workers and businesses in this process.
The resolution also sets out the requirement to promote the application of science, technology and digital transformation in enterprises to improve production, business and management efficiency.

In the context of AI increasingly deeply involved in business operations, the requirement is not only to equip workers with digital skills, but also to change the way work is organized so that technology truly creates value.
The application of AI in work, improving scientific and technological skills for workers, is being focused on by many businesses.
At EZFashion Co., Ltd., Tien Lu commune, Hung Yen province, the application of digital technology and AI is gradually being implemented in professional activities, contributing to innovating working methods and improving the operational efficiency of the Trade Union organization.
Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Mai - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of EZFashion Co., Ltd. - said that in the context of the labor force at enterprises increasingly needing to quickly access information, digital transformation opens up more methods for the Trade Union organization to improve the quality of operations.
Through support tools, Trade Union officials can be more proactive in preparing documents, building content to disseminate policies and laws, and conveying practical information to workers.
Digital transformation and application of science and technology help improve the effectiveness of Trade Union activities, innovate propaganda methods, gather union members, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, thereby promptly protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers" - Ms. Mai said.
