More than 10,000 Lao Cai workers are supported with loans to create jobs

On October 29, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, in the first 10 months of 2026, Lao Cai province created jobs for 29,998 workers, reaching 93.74% of the annual plan.

The work of consulting, introducing jobs, supporting workers going to work abroad under contracts and implementing credit policies to create jobs continues to be concerned.

Regarding the operation of sending workers to work abroad under contracts, provincial functional agencies have received and introduced nearly 20 businesses operating in the field of sending workers to work abroad to recruit locally.

Along with that, the province promotes propaganda and counseling on support policies, recruitment conditions and job opportunities abroad; integrating counseling and job introduction activities at the grassroots level so that workers can access information, choose suitable markets and jobs.

In October 2026 alone, the whole province created jobs for 2,834 workers. Of which, 220 people went to work abroad under contract, and 1,155 people worked outside the province.

Accumulated for 10 months, the number of workers going to work abroad under contract reached 1,325 people.

In addition to job connection, credit policies to support job creation continue to be implemented.

In 10 months, 10,220 workers were supported with loans, with a total loan turnover of more than 990 billion VND.

This capital source contributes to creating conditions for people to develop production, business, create jobs and stabilize livelihoods.

The labor market in the province is basically stable. In 10 months, Lao Cai has transferred 6,012 workers from the agricultural sector to non-agricultural sectors, reaching 85.89% of the annual plan.

The unemployment rate in the working age group is maintained at 2%.

In the coming time, Lao Cai province will continue to promote consulting, job introduction, connect businesses with workers, implement credit policies to create jobs and support people to access suitable job opportunities.
