According to VNA, within the framework of the State visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, on the afternoon of October 20 (local time), in Copenhagen, General Secretary and President To Lam, along with his wife and the high-level Vietnamese delegation, met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Denmark, Iceland and southern Sweden.
At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Nguyen Le Thanh said that the Vietnamese community in Denmark is integrating and developing well, working diligently and making positive contributions to society, winning the love of the local government and people.
On this occasion, representatives of overseas Vietnamese in Denmark, Iceland and South Sweden expressed their joy, emotion and deep gratitude for the concern and encouragement of the Party and State for people living far from home. Representatives of overseas Vietnamese affirmed their absolute belief in the Party and State's policy of renovation and leadership; believing that the country will enter a new era of strong development.
The General Secretary and President stated clearly that in the overall foreign affairs of the country, Vietnam and Denmark, Sweden, and Iceland have traditional friendly relations and good cooperation. The relationship is increasingly deepening and becoming more substantive in energy and green investment cooperation with Denmark, especially after the two countries upgraded to the Green Strategic Partnership framework and are moving towards a new height. These results are due to our country's implementation of open foreign policy, being friends and reliable partners of the international community; but we cannot fail to mention the contributions of our compatriots, the "cultural ambassadors", "friendship ambassadors" who have connected and promoted cooperation for decades.

In the new era of development, it is necessary to continue to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, combined with the strength of the times, domestic resources must be connected with external resources. The Party and State really need the joint efforts and contributions of compatriots abroad.
Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW of the Politburo identifies overseas Vietnamese as one of the important strategic resources, contributing to improving the overall strength of the nation. In the coming time, the Party and State will continue to improve institutions, mechanisms, and synchronous, open, and breakthrough policies so that overseas Vietnamese can deeply participate in the socio-economic life in the country, promoting the role of companionship and joint creation in the country's development.
General Secretary and President To Lam wished the young generation, especially Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in the three countries, to join the Vietnamese community around the world to become a technology bridge, participate in transferring knowledge and modern management experience, connecting green capital sources of corporations and large enterprises to serve the development of the homeland. People continue to spread the traditional cultural values of the nation and persistently preserve the Vietnamese language for future generations, creating a solid foundation for the young generation to maintain the bond of connection and attachment to family, country and national origin.
On October 20, General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation received Mr. Nils Bulb, Chairman of the Danish-Vietnamese Friendship Association and some members of the Association.
