Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham's family (born in 1972) in Vuon Cay hamlet, Van Thang 1 village, Co Do commune, Hanoi was originally in difficult circumstances. Her husband died early, she worked hard alone to raise her two children to adulthood. To cover living expenses and take care of her children, she works as a construction worker, accepting hard work, and her income depends on each working day.

Ms. Tham herself also suffers from asthma, and her health is not good. However, she still tries to work to maintain family life, because she is the economic pillar, shouldering most of the care for her children.

The incident happened on October 18, 2026. During the process of working as a hired construction worker, Ms. Tham unfortunately fell from the roof of the 2nd floor to the ground. The fall caused her to suffer serious multiple injuries, including fractures of both legs, fractures of both arms and fractures of the jawbone.

After the accident, she was taken to the emergency room and is currently being treated at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital. Severe injuries require surgery, treatment and health monitoring. Meanwhile, her family, which already struggled to make a living, is now in a more difficult situation when the main breadwinner is no longer able to work.

For a family with limited economic circumstances, covering surgery, treatment, medicine and living expenses during hospitalization is a difficult problem. The treatment journey ahead is still long, while the family's income is seriously affected after the accident.

Mr. Le Minh Hai (born in 2006), Ms. Tham's son, said that his family does not have the ability to pay for surgery and treatment costs at the hospital. He hopes to receive the care and help of philanthropists so that his mother has more conditions for treatment, and at the same time reduce the burden of living for the family.

Ms. Tham's situation was also confirmed by the Van Thang 1 village leadership. "The treatment road ahead is still long, and the cost of treatment and living is too heavy for a family that is already difficult," said a representative of the village leadership.

Currently, Ms. Tham needs support to have funds for surgery, treatment and health recovery after the accident. Community sharing will contribute to sharing the burden with the family, adding motivation for her to overcome the difficult period, soon have the opportunity to recover and return to her children.
