LD26239: Heartbreaking 9th grade female student orphaned of both father and mother, relying on the love of uncle and aunt
Hung Yen - Losing her mother after an accident, and then continuing to be orphaned of her father, Vu Ngoc Han was taken in by her uncle and aunt in a small house, where worries about food and clothing still weighed heavily.
The pain of losing mother, then losing father
In a level 4 house with an old tiled roof in Tien Quan village, Luong Bang commune, Hung Yen province, Vu Ngoc Han sat huddled, taciturn and somewhat shy. At the age of 14, when many friends were still cared for and protected by her parents, Han had to go through too great losses.
Mentioning her mother, Han just whispered, her voice was soft and her eyes were reserved. Family stories seem to be still difficult to tell for the little girl who is inherently shy and rarely expresses emotions.
In 2023, Han and her mother had an accident on the road when going to her uncle's house to play on the 3rd day of Tet. The unexpected accident took her mother's life right at the scene. Han was injured and had to be hospitalized for a week of treatment.

After that incident, the already difficult life of the little girl became even more precarious. Previously, the two mothers and daughters lived by farming in a small shack in the middle of the vast field, life was full of hardships.
The pain had not yet subsided when she continued to lose her father after he had a stroke. Both paternal and maternal grandparents have passed away, Han no longer has direct relatives to rely on. In that situation, Mr. Tran Van Tuan and Mrs. Do Thi Hao, who are her uncles and aunts, welcomed Han to take care of and raise her.
Since then, the small house of the uncle and aunt's family has become the home of the orphaned girl.

Old roofs shelter small dreams
The house where Mr. and Mrs. Han's family are living was built in 1997. Over the years, the tiled roof has become old. In a simple level 4 house, there are not many furniture, the living space is cramped when five people live together.
Mr. Tuan and Mrs. Hao have two sons, now they have Han brought in to raise them, the burden of living is even greater. Even so, the uncle and aunt still try to give her care within their ability, so that the little girl has a stable place to live and continues to go to school.
The family's life mainly depends on precarious jobs. Ms. Hao works as a scrap collector, wandering around looking for each item that can be resold to earn money to cover living expenses. Mr. Tuan works as a hired driver, whoever hires him, he takes on the job.

With a working family still facing many difficulties, taking care of an orphaned child is not only adding one mouth to feed, but also a long-term responsibility for his future.
Mr. Tuan and Mrs. Hao said they will try to raise Han to finish high school. That is a simple wish but also a concern, because the family's economic conditions can hardly guarantee that she will continue to study at university later.
Even so, she still wants to give Han the opportunity to study as long as possible. With them, she has suffered too many disadvantages. If it can help her continue to go to school, gain more knowledge and a path to self-reliance in the future, that is also precious.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tue - Deputy Head of Tien Quan village, Luong Bang commune said: "Han has particularly difficult circumstances when she lost both her father and mother from a young age. Currently, she lives with her uncle and aunt's family, while the family's economy is still very poor. The locality hopes that philanthropists will join hands to help Han have conditions to continue studying and rise up in life.
