Lao Dong Newspaper readers share with a 15-year-old orphaned student in Hung Yen

On October 10, representatives of the Golden Heart Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper presented 22,254,000 VND donated by readers to Bui Thanh Dat (15 years old, residing in My Hoa residential group, Thuong Hong ward, Hung Yen province). Of this amount, the Thien Tam Fund supported 20 million VND.

The support handover ceremony was witnessed by local authorities, the Fatherland Front Committee, representatives of the school where Dat is studying and his family.

The money came to Dat right when the family needed more funds to cover the immediate practical costs. According to Ms. Pham Thi Xuan - Bui Thanh Dat's aunt-in-law, the family will use the money given to take care of Dat's nail removal surgery after an accident before.

Part of the money will also be used for studying, helping Dat have more conditions to continue going to school in the near future.

The family thanks the readers of Lao Dong Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund for their concern and help for Dat. In the immediate future, the family will prioritize surgery to remove nails from the child's leg, and the rest will be for studying" - Ms. Pham Thi Xuan said.

For Dat, continuing to go to school is something he always tries to preserve even though life is still very lacking. Receiving the support, the 15-year-old student was moved and said that he is very happy to have more conditions to continue studying.

Teacher Le Xuan Luong - homeroom teacher of class 10A11, Nguyen Tat Thanh High School, Dai Dong commune, Hung Yen province - said that Dat is studying at the school. Dat was only supported with a partial tuition fee reduction.
