This is the 16th visit to Vietnam since Mr. Donald Tusk's first visit as Prime Minister of Poland in 2010.

The traditional friendly relationship between Vietnam and Poland is built on a long-standing historical foundation, political trust and substantive cooperation.

As one of the European countries that soon established diplomatic relations with Vietnam (February 4, 1950), Poland is also one of Vietnam's most important trading partners in the Middle Eastern European region. Bilateral turnover has maintained steady growth over the years, especially after the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) took effect.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai, the visit to Vietnam by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk takes place in the context that Vietnam-Poland relations are in a very good stage and have favorable conditions to develop to a new height.

The visit creates opportunities to promote economic - trade and investment cooperation in a substantive direction, improve market access conditions and remove barriers to goods of the two countries.

The two sides can take advantage of this opportunity to expand cooperation space to high value-added fields such as digital technology, green energy, quantum technology and high-quality human resource training; thereby promoting complementary strengths, strengthening business connections and creating a foundation for sustainable development of Vietnam - Poland economic, scientific and technological relations.
