Vietnam is an attractive market for Polish businesses
With the important role and position of Poland in Central and Eastern Europe and of Vietnam in Southeast Asia, the two countries have much room to expand investment cooperation.
Soon bring Vietnam - Poland trade turnover to 6 billion USD
On October 26th, the "Vietnam - Poland Business Roundtable Conference" took place in Hanoi. The conference was attended and chaired by Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Donald Tusk.
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung said that the conference was held immediately after the leaders of the two countries officially announced the upgrade of Vietnam-Poland relations to a Strategic Partnership. This historical milestone shows deep trust, common vision and determination to bring the friendly relations between the two countries to a new height.
Poland is currently Vietnam's largest trading partner in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2025, two-way trade turnover reached nearly 4 billion USD, an increase of 14.8% compared to 2024. In the first 9 months of 2026, this figure reached nearly 3.5 billion USD, an increase of 19% compared to the same period in 2025.
The goal of striving to soon bring bilateral trade turnover to 6 billion USD that the leaders of the two countries have agreed upon is completely feasible if the Governments and businesses of the two countries are determined to act together," Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized.

To bring economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries to a new height, commensurate with the framework of the Strategic Partnership, the Prime Minister said that in the coming time, the two sides need to focus on a number of orientations.
First, determination to improve the quality of cooperation. Vietnam strongly encourages Polish businesses to research and promote investment activities in Vietnam in areas suitable to Vietnam's sustainable development needs, such as renewable energy, smart agriculture, digital transformation, railways, shipbuilding and environment, associated with technology transfer and sustainable development.
Second, coordinate to review and promptly remove barriers to institutions and policies.
Third, promote transport connectivity to strengthen market connectivity. "I highly appreciate the Polish national airline's official announcement of resuming direct flights between Warsaw and Hanoi. I propose that relevant agencies of the two countries continue to coordinate research and strengthen connectivity between the two economies through air, rail and other modes of transport, thereby facilitating trade, investment and business activities," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Fourth, it is proposed that businesses strengthen linkages, promote social responsibility and sustainable business.
Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Donald Tusk said that the two countries will not only discuss economic cooperation prospects but above all projects, specific investments and opportunities to build long-term business partnerships.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized three promising areas between Vietnam and Poland: Pharmaceuticals and healthcare; defense industry; space and modern technology industries.
“Vietnam is not only an attractive market for Polish businesses but also an important center for the business operations of Polish businesses throughout the ASEAN region. For its part, Poland can become an attractive destination for Vietnamese investors seeking business expansion opportunities in the European Union,” Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized.
