Phu Lien Ward, Hai Phong City mobilized more than 1.1 billion VND to support the Fund for the Poor
Hai Phong - On October 27th, Phu Lien ward organized a conference to launch support for the "For the Poor" Fund in 2026.
Information from Phu Lien ward, over the past time, the locality has actively mobilized social resources and implemented many practical social security activities. Since implementing the 2-level local government model, the ward has mobilized support to build 9 new Great Solidarity houses worth nearly 1 billion VND, presented 100 gifts worth 100 million VND to students in difficult circumstances, and supported more than 29 million VND to pay social insurance for 42 people from near-poor households, contributing to helping families gradually stabilize their lives.
However, currently in the ward, there are still 181 near-poor households; some families are facing housing difficulties, people with dangerous diseases and vulnerable groups need to be cared for and supported. Therefore, mobilizing resources to build the "For the Poor" Fund is of practical significance, contributing to sharing difficulties and creating conditions for households to rise up in life.
Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind", the "For the Poor" peak month (from October 17 to November 18), Phu Lien ward launched a campaign to support the "For the Poor" Fund in 2026 with a spirit of compassion, empathy, and sharing.
The ward calls on officials, CNVCLĐ, armed forces, agencies, units, businesses, religious organizations, philanthropists and people from all walks of life to actively respond and join hands to contribute to building the Fund. The mobilization is carried out on a voluntary basis, in accordance with the conditions and capabilities of each organization and individual; and at the same time encourages direct support forms, with addresses, suitable subjects and actual needs.
Right on the morning of October 27, agencies, units, businesses, schools, residential groups and a large number of individuals in the area registered to support with a total amount of more than 1.1 billion VND.
